Reached a top speed of 98 mph, I've had it as high as 100 mph, but that puts it at limiter in 6th. Also a couple spots in this where I go for full throttle accelerations.
Bike is mostly stock, save for me stripping off the fender and other small bits to bring the weight down, and the slip-on exhaust. Bike weighs roughly 280 pounds as seen in the video.
And yea I mis-shifted between first and second a few times, you really have to shift like you mean it between first and second, then the rest of the gears you shift through with a light tap of the shifter.

"...But 300's are SLOW!" Oh yea, definitely. That definitely felt slow. LMAO 300's are only slow if you compare them to 600-1000cc motorcycles, and only if they're going in a straight line. Compared to most cars on the road, and compared to just about anything else on a small track, theyre fast as fuck. And in a city like this, you just dont need a whole lot more.

not sure how much a diff it would make for speed/acceleration but how much do you weigh?

I have the same bike. Started off with a Zx10R way back in 2005. Then a 750 later. After that a 500 and now a 300. I love to oper her up all the time and it doesn't feel like I'm trying to kill myself lol. Funniest bike I've ever had and love the dirt bike sound. It sounds like you have an SC Projects exhaust? That's what I put on mine and I get compliments all the time. Also did some small cosmetic steps to make her my own. 300cc bikes are fun and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise! Keep riding brother and be safe!!

Update on the mis-shift situation: I had been trying out a new clutch lever position, to see if I could improve things by bringing the lever closer to the bar, but it ended up preventing me from getting a consistent pull from the lever leading to loads of missed shifts. Lever is back where is was and I havent had a missed shift since.

Oh holy shit you spent like 3-400$ because of something I did. I can feel the power rising within me, the temptation to use it for evil, and the shining light of good coaxing me away, but. No. I am no hero. I will walk my own line, make my own choices. No I don't know what I'm on about, glad you enjoyed the video.

Did you have a baffle/db killer in the exhaust during this video?

Any reason why you are turning the bars to the right when setting the kickstand down? The manual says turn bars to the left. Turning to the right is unstable, I think that’s what it says at least.

When parking on soft surfaces sometimes it helps to turn the bars to the right to reduce kickstand preassure. If you park on aoft dirt, and you turn to the left, theres a high chance the kick stand will sink into the sand and the bike will fall over.

This is hard to watch. Spazzing out, tossing the grips, missing shifts, cutting people off. Ugh.

Upgraded to a CB300r last week after a year of riding on a 125cc Super Cub LOL. This bike is great! 280 pounds is crazy light!

Hi man! Your Cb300R sounds very good! I have one, but is the 2019 model and i like a lot. My top speed was 165kmh, something like 102 mph, for me, a 300cc single cilinder is not a super fast bike but how you say, compared to cars, CB300R is more fast. Stay safe! ✌

I'm not a man, but I appreciate it. I was hitting rev limiter at 100 in a previous attempt. Until I change the gearing odds are thats as fast as it will go. But its more than enough for my needs. going fast in a straight line is rather boring.

Did you get a dyno tune after you installed the slip on? If not did you notice a torque decrease? Any thoughts I’d appreciate it
