Although they did have high power trims in their hay day , Chrysler is more of a luxury car now, as opposed to a muscle car, the 300 is to far deep into the “budget luxury “ market. I feel as if adding a hellcat version would not be in line with the other trims, not to mention, if my memory serves correctly , Chrysler executives said they wanted to differentiate themselves from their sister brand, Dodge. Moreover , the 300 is so low on sales with the current platform , that they are better off adding a refreshed platform with better interior and exterior and then adding a hellcat version to maximize interest for the new and improved model, that way they can extend the lifespan of the 300 a couple more years. However this is close to impossible to happen, they’re pushing forward to newer and better tech, hopefully for the better, it would be better if they’d just add “300” as a luxury package for a ev seeing how the brands nowadays are just using legendary nameplate boost their ev sales take in part mustang machE
@RSTBKT2 жыл бұрын
@@__AverageJoe I could see maybe in earlier years, maybe add the bigger Hemi as a option for a top dog luxury trim, much like the mercury cougar was to the mustang in the late 60s, could have done that with that for the 300, the 300 being better tan some lower trim counter parts of the charger, for those that want budget luxury with power, pretty much like the 300s of the early 60s
@williamrusso07118 ай бұрын
@@RSTBKT Yeah true... it still makes no sense that they put in lot of work for the Chargers while the 300s are left to die all alone. Honestly I think they should have canceled the 300 a while ago that it still had some sort of relevance. The way they’re just dragging the model down to it’s slow and miserable death is only tarnishing the 300 brand. I’m glad that the brand is being given a chance of surviving. I will say after having a 300 with the Sport package as a loaner for a week, I was surprised by how basic the car was. I was expecting the 300 to have more luxury and safety features, especially if they specify it more as a luxury vehicle than the Dodge Charger and Challenger. I personally thought it was a bad idea to remove the C/C Platinum and SRT, if it was me of I wanted a 300 it would be the S with the V8’s. Without a redesign, powertrain improvement, focus of more standard safety and luxury this is a hard sell.

Makes no sense to delete the AWD option for the V6 300S. Also, the Canyon Sunset color is the 300 version of Sinamon Stick. Looks good in person, but a rare color. It's hard to see the point of offering different car colors, only to have Dodge/Chrysler paint the majority of their cars in boring, basic, black or white. I suspect it requires fewer trips to the paint booth for a black or white Charger, Challenger, or 300, versus multiple trips for a car painted B5 Blue, F8 green, Sinamon Stick/Canyon Sunset, Hellrasin, and so forth.

Do you think they will go out with a splash (drop the 6.4 into it) or reduce the options even more. I just don't understand why they dropped the "C" model. If they actually put some advertising into it they could sell a lot more. Its like a forgotten vehicle. I am thinking that they don't want it to compete with the Charger. Still not feeling good about the Chrysler future. The woman thats in charge seems to have something against Mini-vans. Says the Pacifica will be a new concept. If they reduce functionality, it will die. Contrary to some opinions, the Pacifica is very stylish, enjoyable to drive and the perfect family vehicle. Also, I just don't see EVs taking off like they hope they will. As people start to drive them, they will find some benefits, but also experience the downsides (charging times!).

Why don’t you sell your charger for an R/T? A real muscle car
@MarspeedCars2 жыл бұрын
Me? I have a Charger RT that I put a custom 6.5L stroker Hemi into with 600HP. Can’t get more muscular than that. Still kept my V6 though.

Man how can they increase the price but keep the car the same smh...Chrysler have to do better

Just the way of the world now, inflation is crazy and everything is too expensive and applies to everything. My milk is double the price it’s the same milk 😂😂

@@MarspeedCars true 🤣 but 3 years in the row the 300 looks the same
@MarspeedCars2 жыл бұрын
I agree with you for real though. Since 2015 there’s been almost no changes and they are just leaving the car to die. They could have done upgrades like they did to the Charger. That’s still the same platform but they kept it fun and exciting with new models, colors, visual packages, and more. Sucks to see!
