2022 CMMG Banshee MK10 (10mm) Review

My Mk10 is a couple years old now and I'm still loving it. I turned it into my backpack gun with a LAW Tactical folder and the CMMG Action Tuning Kit. It has a 510C as well and a Streamlight TLR RM2. I put a Timney cassette 4.5 lb trigger and Radian Talon 45 deg safety in it. I prefer it with the Glock 20 15 round mags but keep a couple 30 rounders in the backpack as well. Just be sure to put Wolff springs in any stock Glock mags you run it so the bolt hold open will work properly. CMMG is a quality company with top notch products. Great purchase Sir. Shooting a steel hostage taker paddle with the Banshee is so very satisfying. So violent 😄

Awesome weapon sir. I finally....finally....got my MK10 yesterday! Glad it took this long for just the fact they sent me a 2022 updated version. Put about 250 rounds through it today sighting in the optic (Holo 510C) and having fun. This Sir, so you can feel set on it, is my home defender. That's primarily why I bought it. Along with my travel/"truck gun". You cannot go wrong with 10mm. Ever! lol. I got the Burnt Bronze and man it's beautiful!

Well I have not so great news. Did two range days and keep having feeding problems. Changed buffers....two different magazines....Stock Mag and a Glock 15 rounder. It would stick the round in crooked (in an upward angle) and jam. Was shooting 3 different brands. With everything I did I am thinking it was the 200 grain flat nose rounds. Put about 350 rounds and had this problem about every 10-12 rounds. Sent in a message to CMMG and waiting an answer. Want to try some light weight bullets but couldn't find anything except what I had. We will see.

Man, you look happy with that beast of a weapon. I was trying to decide between the CMMG 10mm or a Mossberg 590A1 Tactical for a home defense gun. I'm with the CMMG. I plan to get mine in Midnight Bronze. Thanks for the review.

I just ordered this in Titanium. I appreciate your video and the insight you have given. You have outfitted yours beautifully. Ill be referencing yours as I customize mine out. This will be my truck gun and transitioning my CZ Scorpion to home defense. I, like you am a bit nervous about 10MM as my home defense so the 9mm CZ will work fine. I live in Houston where wild hogs run like crazy. I look forward to seeing how this knocks down one. Again, thanks for the review.

Man I really appreciate the feedback. I gotta do an updated video cause I changed a few things around. Plus I’m still in the process of getting a Surefire can for this beauty. Titanium is an immaculate color. I bought mine the second I saw it available at my local gun store. Then 2 weeks later they had another one in Tungsten Gray which is what I REALLY wanted 🤦🏾‍♂️…nevertheless, you’re gonna love this gun. Shoots like a well tuned low recoil AR and with the right ammo, this baby can/will take down a bear. I use Underwood 180gr JHP 1300fps. I haven’t done any FBI gel testing yet but I’m pretty confident over penetration won’t occur. Great decision to purchase this baby 👍🏾👍🏾

Live in S Georgia so hogs, gators and 2 legged predators are my concern also. I know from experience that 10MM has plenty of KD power. I actually brought down a white tail long days ago with a S&W 1006 at about 30 yards. Not sure how it would do on a Hog as, if not farm raised and released on a hunt range, are damn tough and nasty. My Hog gun is my Zastava Zpap M70. And I do have to say you cannot go wrong with and CZ. Have 4 of them from the CZ 75 to the P 01-P07 and my P 10C OR with a Holosun 508 on it. Love me some CZ.

I am dead set on a Banshee. But I am torn on which caliber. I like the 9mm because it is cheap and easy to get. I would also like to shoot subsonic and it seems like there are more options available for 9mm. I already have a 300 blackout PDW so I am wondering why I would need to choose a 10mm over a 9mm (or a .45). Please help!

depends on what your needs are. 9mm is better for a range toy, 10mm for hunting, 45 for suppression

@@rj11wacat 10mm has much higher velocity and energy down range. very capable for self defense and hunting applications as i mentioned before

@@rj11wacat also, only 147gr and up will be subsonic in 9mm. 45acp is inherently subsonic so there’s even more options. 10mm is almost always supersonic. You can use the cheap range stuff and probably get close to sub, but at that point just get one in .40

That’s sounds like a fun little PDW but personally I don’t see the advantage of a 9mm PDW with a 4.5in barrel. I’m better off carrying a handgun lol

Thanks for sharing! Is the barrel threaded? I personally hate the new looks of the 400. No forward assist, polymer dust cover, not full pic rail, the lightning cuts, etc. I’m going to look for a used 300 and scoop that up for sure.

Me personally, I'd go 9mm for home defense, but of course I live in an apartment complex and over penetration is a concern for me. If I shoot my intruder I don't want the bullet leaving their body and going into my next door neighbors. lol

Yeah, I would save that gun for the absolute collapse of society. I even heard of s DA going after some guy for using a .357 Magnum to defend his home on the account of it being "too much force" I have a Mossberg 500 adapted to shoot mini shells as my bedside gun but I might end up grabbing one of my 9mm's

I also have one and it’s my home Defense gun. Mind has a trigger tech single stage trigger. When your family life and your life is on the line you don’t want to be under power specially, if you’re by yourself and there’s two or three guys with gun trying to kick your door in I don’t care about am I using to much force against these people. I look at it like this if you want to F around you gonna FIND OUT at the end of the day as long as my family ok I deal with BS far as the law go
