I wanted to thank you for taking the time to make and share this video and all of your videos. I’ve struggled with some serious health problems the last few years in and out of the hospital a lot. And card making the last year has given me joy. You’re part of that joy so thank you for helping me make such a difference in my life. I hope that you have a lovely Christmas with family and friends filled with love, joy, and peace. God bless you and yours. ♥️

I am so happy that the wider crafting world has discovered the wonderful Anna Griffin Empress, which I have thought since its introduction in 2018 was a great machine. We who work with Anna Griffin's dies like to cut down into the magnetic mat because they are almost all cut & emboss dies. Cutting into the magnetic mat gives a good cut and embosses at the same time. No more having your cardstock slip out of place during a second embossing pass. In the stamping world, where the dies tend to just cut, then cutting up into the clear plate makes sense too. I will cut up into the clear plate when I'm cutting things like felt or glitter cardstock to help the die edges have a rigid surface to push against. But if you're mostly working with dies that also emboss, the Empress is a game changer. Merry Christmas, Jennifer!

Great gift ideas. Found some I didn’t know were out. Thank you for putting them all in one video. For the electric die cutting machine that does it all & is quiet, look at the the Go Power Cut & Embossing machine by Couture Creations. It does the steel rule dies, regular dies, embossing folders and the glimmer foil platform. If you don’t have a foiling system they have one as well. It comes with its own plates but you can use the plates & platforms you already have (just need to adjust the sandwich).

I just ordered a stamp set from Altenew…on sale…The Brooklyn Bridge…with the Statue of Liberty in the background AND a couple of dozen small greetings. I’ve never even ordered from them before….never even taken much of a look at their website. I was so amazed at the impressive lines of products they offer. I love Tim Holtz Distress Oxide, Tsukineko Versamark inks and Sizzix Archival inks, but I was impressed with what I see of their inks, full, minis and refills, all there in one place. 👍

I have most of these products and agree with you about most of them. My one disappointing purchase this year was the Brutus Monroe Stick & Stamp Mat. From day 1, it had no stickiness. I contacted SSS but they did not give me any kind of customer service. Maybe it was affected by the heat as it bounced around the U.S. for six weeks in the heat of summer on its way from Ohio to Winnipeg, Canada via New Mexico and various other stops along the way. I also purchased the Mat Mist that goes with the sticky mat but it is useless to me. I have since purchased the Misti sticky mats and am very pleased with them. I just discovered A6 envelopes and they were perfect for mailing the Spellbinders JOY embroidered cards (thanks for bringing them to my attention) which were quite thick and didn't fit into a regular A4 envelope. Love you and your videos. How nice that your new MIL is also a crafter.

Thanks so much for this very helpful video. I learned so much. I had to watch it in several chunks. I'm particularly thrilled to know about the GinaK Masking Magic...I can't tell you how many card backs I've ruined or had to do major fix-ups/erasures on because of getting ink or glue on the back while I was working on the inside or front. So frustrating. I'll have to to get a pack and spend some time on her site too. I know she's a fabulous card maker and instructor too and her products are tops! Thanks again! I'm so glad I came across this video. I'm planning to buy one of the big electric die cutting machines sometime in the near future. I've been considering the Switch Plus, but I'm looking at the Empress too. I m' very partial to Sizzix...love their stuff and have used their machines for a long time. That chronic mat warping thing, however, is a nuisance with Sizzix machines and others. But I'm gonna try the "Magic Mats" that are supposed not warp as much. But if the Empress mats last longer with less warping, then that's something important to consider. Whew! that's enough writing! Take care! 😊
