Hi friend Robin! Well, fancy that, I'm about to make another batch of crockpot yogurt too! I first "met" you through your original crockpot yogurt video and then made my own video, being sure to give your video credit as the ispiration. Serendipitous meeting! Sending hugs with love from BanDana Gramma ❤❤

How do you make the whole batch flavored (like blueberry and sweet) and how long does it stay good in the fridge? Thanks for a very informative and useful video!

That’s a good question Hands That Cook. Add whatever flavor you like when the yogurt is finished and sweetener as well. You can add it to the whole batch or individually. I prefer to add different flavors per serving for a variety. If your starter yogurt is flavored then your finished yogurt will taste like the starter just not as strong. Hope this helps. Thanks for asking.

Yogurt is so easy to make; and homemade is so much better than commercial with few exceptions...I wonder why more people don't make their own.... maybe the will after seeing your video.....same for granola. I used to add pie filling to my homemade yogurt for a stir-in, and sprinkle the top with granola....wish I wasn't lactose intolerant...

Thank you Dinah. I agree. Yogurt is pretty easy.

Can’t wait to try this … now how do I flavor this with vanilla bean?
@simplefoodsimplelife96322 жыл бұрын
Hello Emily B. I would suggest, if you are using vanilla bean and not vanilla extract, that you add it when you add the yogurt starter to the milk. Sounds delicious.

Hello Janet. Question…does the finished product taste like yogurt? Is it liquid rather than more thick? Have you refrigerated the mixture yet? Did you use whole milk, 1%, 2% or skim?
@janetplacek55492 жыл бұрын
@@simplefoodsimplelife9632 I use whole milk it is like liquid it has no thickening whatsoever taste like milk

@@janetplacek5549 I would say it was your yogurt starter that may be the issue Janet. Even if the mixture is not thick it would still have the tart flavor of yogurt which you could use in smoothies etc. Sometimes if the yogurt you use for starters has additives it can inhibit the culture growth. Don’t throw it away you can still use the mixture in baking and other things. Thank you for being here.
