start on soaking wet defined hair- 1) add a creme/milk/leave in conditoner and rake it through your hair (away from scalp for volume) make sure not to forget front or crown, make sure hair is well saturated 2) part hair (middle part) brush through make sure product is evenly spread (no knots) seperate hair into top and bottom sections, pull away from scalp with denman brush, than shake out the pieces you defined 3) Scrunch in gel to the sections that have been defined 4) blend sections together, (flip hair upside down and scrunch everything together) 5) airdry or diffuse 6) scrunch out cast

i got so excited when i saw u posted, i went straight to it! beautiful routine, similar to mine but i can’t wait to add a couple of the things you did and see how much it levels up my curls!! ooo also u r literally my length goals but are you ever gonna go back to your old length? and the last thing it’s been about a year and a half so far of my curly hair journey, i did a big chop about 15 months ago and my hairs already halfway down my back again! hopefully not to long until ur length lol. but my curls are so beautiful and defined and voluminous now, so different then the heat damaged barely even curls i had in 2020, thank you for inspiring me to embrace my natural curls and also literally teaching me everything i know! u were the backbone of the beginning of my journey! much love

Thats amazing how much your hair grew in a year!! Any tips for length? I like to have layers for volume!! Do you get trims every few months?!
@hannahb5961
@hannahb5961 2 жыл бұрын
@@ginaa1125 yes layers are a must for me as well!! as far as hair growth tips go, i have picked up quite a few. scalp health is super important, so using a good sulfate free shampoo. i like the jbco one from shea moisture, it has peppermint, apple cider vinegar, and jamaican black castor oil which all encourage hair growth. also scalp massagers w the shampoo is good to stimulate the scalp. you can do the same thing with hair growth oils outside of the shower. get some oil, put it on your scalp, and massage with your finger tips (bonus points if it’s upside down, that also helps!) u can look up good hair growth oils, castor oil is good and there’s a miele one w rosemary, peppermint, and castor oil. this will also help thicken ur hair. for best results do it every day but my hair can’t handle that much oil so i do it the day before my wash day. in addition to that i don’t hardly ever put heat on my hair and i take good care of it with deep conditioners and masks regularly. all of this helps w length retention so your not damaging the ends of your hair so much and have to get them chopped off. finally as far as trims go, i typically aim for every 6 months, i actually j recently got one after NINE months and my hair looked so bad my ends were dead and all my layers were grown out so i had to get about an inch off (but honestly that’s not much length and my hair looks sm better and is healthier therefore it will retain more length and grow faster!) my new stylist recommended hair cuts every 3 months especially cause i’m tryna grow out my hair. so i’d say every 3-6 months, but prob more like 6 months if you take good care of your hair. it’s important to trim for sure! and ofc tell them you DONT want length off i ask for an ends dusting or for them to cut off only the dead damaged parts so they don’t go ham and cut off 3 inches. i make sure they know the goal of the appointment is to refresh my layers. finally, rice water is rly supposed to help, i personally don’t do it because it has a lot of protein and i have low porosity hair so it’s sensitive to protein and it stinks so bad but a lot of ppl swear by it, so j do some research and don’t do it more than once a week! whew that was a lot you can tell i’ve done a lot of research on this topic, but lemme know if you have any questions! always happy to help a fellow curly trying to get some inches!

@@hannahb5961 omg u are amazing!!!! Thank you thank you 🙏🏼 I definitely need to do scalp massages but like you i cant do ton of oils bc weighs my hair down a whole lot maybe i can find a lightweight one lol.. yea so Ive been trimming 5 months and finally my ends are healthy this time around so ill see what happens!! I heard of rice water but would have to look up how to make and do it lol Its a whole process girl but curls really are the best 🌟💞

I would love to see how it looks at the end of the day. It always looks great the 1st 2 or 3 Hr but at the end of the day, the look ends up like I have not brushed my hair in days! I don’t touch it. I have 4 kids so I move like crazy. After a party I alway say “I will never wear my hair natural.” But the flat iron really does a number on hair. So I end up curly again and looking for another curly hair routine!!!!!

Just a question my hair are wavy naturally it never goes curly after I follow all steps that you are telling in videos. Any chance if i do permanent perms that may help achieve the look?
@toniapedd
@toniapedd 2 жыл бұрын
@Deepika Verma as a professional stylist, my answer would be yes. You'll probably want to ask for a "spiral" perm, especially if your hair is long. As it grows out you may need "root" perms to keep the curls even from root to ends. Make sure to find a stylist that does a lot of perms or specializes in perms so you get the right look and they don't over process, leading to a fuzzy, frizzy mess! Is it possible your hair just needs some TLC?? Dry, damaged or protein overloaded hair may not curl well with any technique.

@rochelleanderson882
@rochelleanderson882 11 ай бұрын
As long as it’s a good quality leave in conditioner and you focus on the mids to ends with it and not the roots you should be fine. Often frizz is a sign of not enough moisture and even moisturizing shampoos and conditioners can deplete moisture. Also curly hair tends to need more moisture than straighter hair as the way the follicle is, it has a hard time of the natural oils making their way down the hair shaft to the mids and ends so it’s necessary to put as much moisture in it that it can take while not overdoing it cause that will weigh your curls down and they won’t be springy and defined. You want moisture. I use a leave in conditioner, a curl crème, and a gel on wash day. And then I follow it up with a tiny bit of oil which is more moisture. But only a little or it’ll weigh down my curls. When I do refreshes in between washes, I’ll use water and a spray leave in conditioner and/or a tiny bit of oil. That helps to put more moisture back in my hair as remember curly hair is dryer and has a hard time of the natural scalp oils making their way down the hair to the ends. Just use quality leave in conditioner and oil and you’ll be fine. 💜
