Yeah most other tutorials involve brushing it out with a denman brush and then scrunching for a longgg time. Too much effort, I always had a routine that's similar to the one she shown, except that I let my curls form in the shower and enhance them with product immediately out of the shower. Works 100% of the time.

Idk, however for me manipulating is kind of necessary if i want to feel pretty in my hair, otherwise I just go “maybe it will look better next wash day?” but manipulating makes my hair prettier. Because my dream is to one day wake up with 3B hair but i have 2c or possibly 3a hair which i dont personally find very pretty. I dont know

I’ve been doing this routine for about a week now and really love it! I thought with my looser curl pattern putting it in a bun would just ruin it but I like the more natural look I get. I usually denman brush my whole head but I find this looks curlier and more volume

A good tip for parting your hair and not messing up the top curls would be to fix your part at the end of your shower real quickly then finish rinsing it out and doing the bun that way you don't have to disrupt your curl pattern after its started setting

hair is elastic it always goes back to where it grew from. Try going to the beach and you will notice that it will permanently get back some of its curl after taking the post-beach shower

Ikr, I have thick 2c hair and it used to be flat and not look good at all and get really frizzy, but diffusing, finger curling, and not brushing it when it's dry are the best things I've done.

You might not have the same hair type/ porosity. I follow what she shows, but I mostly apply product to the lower half of my hair concentrating on the ends and it works very well

My curls are completely flat on the top layer and it gets quite frizzy. The under layer of my hair are more curly and not frizzy but you can't really see the bottom layer too well. Do you know what I can do to heal my top layer faster?

I have thin hair too, and very fine. So i dont get that much volume 😭 I use A'Kin leave-in conditioner only and start scrunching. On some days I would also add John Frieda mousse when I feel like it. But dont see much difference on the volume..

I loved this. But what im curious about, is what do you do after this? Do you wash your hair everyday? Do you not wash everyday? If you aren’t washing everyday wouldn’t there end up being a build up of product? What do you do at night for your curls? My hair is so so so similar to yours even the color! I would also check out your water. If you have hard water that might be a contributing factor to your dry scalp. Also make sure your scalp is moisturized. At night maybe a scalp massage with a light oil.

I always thought I had frizzy and puffy straight hair and just had unfortunate genetics but it actually turned out I had damaged curly hair and I started to take care of it right and got compliments at school for my hair but I want more defined curls that I can actually wear down with ought the half up and half down hairstyle and this looks so promising and I can't wait to try tomorrow I will let u guys know how it came out but I have a feeling it will turn out real good

So I shampoo and condition and then when I’m still in the shower, I put the styling gel in. Should I do it outside if the shower? I don’t have a spray bottle wet my hair to get it wet to style though. I have almost the same hair type as you.
