It's so weird how the sound suddenly changes on the outside past 3k RPM. EU regulations are really messing with sound, but at least past 3k RPM it sounds awesome.

Yeah it’s because there’s a EU sound limit up to 75% rev range and then it can be loud. Hence why the values don’t fully open up until you rev the engine up.

@@the-stig-nickname It seems what Jaguar did to meet regulations is install an opf filter and also retune the valves to only fully open after 3k rpm on full throttle, probably why it sounds that way 😁

After this glorious sound I’d be very surprised if they make an “EV” supersports car, they just have no purpose or soul. This coming from someone who made the mistake of owning a Tesla P85D, it was such a cool, but weird car. However it lacked character and overtime became annoying.

Trotzdem würde ich die vorfacelift Version nehmen. Die 2014-2019 Modelle sind unfassbar laut und klingen top außer die haben das Software Update bekommen. Interessant wäre auch mal der F-Pace SVR.

I think the F-Type is the best Jaguar in many, many years! It’s also lovely how it squats preparing to launch! But the aspect Jaguar was trailing behind was the mechanical rear grip. That’ve been hurting the performance of the the Jags over the years (and sport car models). So, I wonder how well can it lap a circuit, comparing let’s say to the BMW M4? Also, it would be great to have Jaguar back on the endurance races, like 24 hours Le Mans!

Will da jetzt nicht zu viel rumrätseln, aber es könnte daran liegen, dass das Auto von der Basis her aus dem Jahr 2013 stammt. Da war die EU-Gesetzgebung noch anders. Kann mich daran erinnern, dass der F-Type für einige Auto-Tester damals schon serienmäßig ZU LAUT war.

@@FluppKey stimmt so ist es bei den neuen. Ich fahre einen 2018er F Type R und der öffnet schon bei 1600 U/min hört man immer direkt. Meine sogar er hat das Update. Trotzdem unfassbar laut die Möhre, wenn man es will. Wenn die Klappe zu ist kann man entspannt lange Touren fahren und wird nicht generft (Das bewirkt wohl das Update). Für mich das Beste aus beiden Welten , da ich ihn daily fahre :)

Its sad that the new upcoming f-type will be electric…but in the end if they manage to create a sexy yet modern, pure and elegant coupé look that can replace this model im all for it. However I still belive that a 3.0 6 cyl hybrid would be the perfect compromise if we can’t have a v8

Why is the car from 100 - 200 Kmh 1 sec. slower as a Nissan GTR with 570 HP, I mean 1 sec. is a lot, these are 50 - 70 HP difference.

Regular Gtr is 8 sec 100 to 200 Nismo gtr 7.3 100 200 So it is very close to regular gtr
