Hey Terry! Thank you for the FPO coverage! In my opinion, I would definitely prefer courses like these. Short and technical course's. They really make you pick your line's and hit them, and if you don't, it will most likely make you practice your scramble game. Being a Michigan player, the ruff is ruff, and you do not want to be there.

Terry's question: Having watched some DG from Europe. Those courses are shorter and more technical with lots of OB (natural and artificial). It just makes for more interesting game. It does not necessarily even the field; the pros are still pros and separate from the field. But the finesse required by all the players just seems more natural. It feels like the DGPT would prefer longer bomber course, i.e. mimic the PGA style formats. Maybe that is were the professional side is going. But, for the rest of us: recreational, intermediate, and am's, the shorter more technical course will prevail.

The shorter courses are more relatable for us mortals. The bomber courses are great to watch, but I laugh when I see something like a 700 foot par 3. That would take me 3 shots in the open, to get within putting range, on a great day. More like 4 (or 5 in the woods). Great to see coverage like this, and how even the top pros like Paige can be challenged by these tighter short courses.
