Surrounded by a sea of hate it’s still possible to do what’s right. Your words are so poignant. What a beautiful way to end a heartbreaking yet incredible story. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Thank you for this series💔🙏. AS a child of German/East Prussian ancestors, it shook me when I first heard about this as a child for a long time I was embarrassed to say I was of German descent. I’ve made Peace with that aspect but still so angry. In college I took every elective offered in WWII. A Rabbi from Hebrew UNION College taught it. That was 20 years ago. I still have my notes. I’m from Cincinnati, Ohio.

Thank you, Dr. Munzler, for that beautiful interview; it's rare to hear the story of a very young survivor. I'm sorry your father and sisters did not survive the war, but I'm so glad you and your mother survived, and that you were lovingly cared for by your "second" family, the Madna family. I'd love to hear another interview with you, to share with us how you began your new life after the war was over, and the circumstances of how you came to the US, your family, and your career as a physician. Your message at the end of the interview was beautiful.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. Amazing what a person can remember after so many years when most would want to forget. True humility of one to think of others even in time of possibly being arrested or killed for saving others. I would hope I would do the same and am sure I would but have never been placed in such a situation.

I watch this whenever I get it on my phone and I am in Bend Oregon. I was able to go to the holocaust museum in Israel and it left a lasting impression on me.
