Very nice. I wanted a feather, but went for the kilo tt pro. I can still say I would love to own a fuji feather. So classy.

Thank you. My buying decision had to do with a few things. Price and functionality. But in all reality. I just loved the color.

A man of style and comfort. Looks great. A more traditional style lamp and some fatter tan walls and to me it would be off the charts.

Ive been looking at a chrome old school front lamp. I agree tan or skin walls would look amazing.

Wow. Finally someone put Wabi Sub15 on a Fuji. Nice to see how it looks in real life. That's the exact wheelset I always wanted for my Fuji. It's the lightest metal wheelset you can find out there. Did you find it significantly different to ride compared to the stock one?🙂
@albikes8484 Жыл бұрын
There definitely quiter and smoother. The rim is more narrow giving the 700x23 tires i have a better profile/shape to them vs the wider stock fuji wheels that had 30s on them. Plus i prefer the polished look of the Wabis vs the mat silver of the stock wheels.

Wise move switching handlebars, indeed! Do Allen bolt hub handles power you put through chain and not allows wheel to slip in dropouts?
@albikes8484 Жыл бұрын
I was worried about that. So far it's been solid. I have a small torque wrench that goes up to 15nm. Its solid at that torque spec.

i have the same bike, and i definitely want to upgrade my pedals. what kind of pedals did you go for and/or what would you recommend? Thanks for the Fuji Feather build/upgrade videos etc

I ended up buying a one sided spd clipless pedal with a bmx style flat on the other side. They were cheap on Amazon. Im very happy with there quality ,and they keep my feet attached solidly for those quick emergency skids. The model says cxwxc. Things ive adjusted since ive gotten them. The end caps were alittle loose when i purchased them. And i increased the tension of clipless pedal. Im very happy with them. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09PDDVZFC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

I made it from mahogany guitar sides. I have a luthier friend who gets me nice wood. I did steel the design from a company called Woodys Fenders. I have bought a few of his fenders and love them. www.woodysfenders.com/category-s/116.htm

Hello! Can you put longer fenders on this bike, like SKS Raceblades? It looks like the calipers barely give space? Edit: Well I see you've taken them off... that's not really an option for me in Germany
@albikes8484 Жыл бұрын
This model year came with 30mm tyres. And long reach caliper brakes. There is plenty clearence for full fenders.The race blade long are nice because they seperate at the caliper giving you clearence even if the frame has a tight fit. The race blade pro set are a frame and fork mount. My model year has the clearence for both styles. Make sure to look at the specs of the feather your looking at. If it comes with bigger tyres like 28s and bigger. You know they will be using long reach brakes. Which means more clearence for full solid fenders.

got this exact same bike, rode it around for a few hours and woke up with a sore back, I guess drop bars are just not for me. would you mind offering some advice on how and what components you got to make the posture on it more upright?
@albikes8484 Жыл бұрын
I purchased a long quil technomic stem and changed out the drop bar to a big sweep flat bar. I changed the saddle out to a Brooks swift. And because of my saddle choice I needed a longer offset on my seatpost to adjust the Brooks correctly. I went with an orange velo post. These are things I've done to help my comfort. Brooks need lots of break in time. Keep that in mind. If I were you I'd start out with the taller stem first. Then go from there.
@albikes8484 Жыл бұрын
Without seeing your ride position. And knowing which part of your back hurts.Your pain can be as simple as minor adjustments like saddle for and aft. Saddle hieght could potentialy be to high. If your hips rock to much when your pedaling you can create lower back pain. Or the stem length can be to long or low to were your reaching for the bars, or your putting to much upper body weight on bars giving you shoulder upper back pain. Id start with raising the stem first. If you do end up with a longer quil stem. You can go with a shorter reach which will help with not reaching as far for the bars and getting your back more upright. Good luck and thank you for watching and commenting.

Hi! I love your ride! I own a 2019 Fuji Feather with the stock Wheelset, using 700x28 Michelin Pro Endurance 4 tires. How is your experience with the Wabi sub-15s on a Feather so far? Would you recommend it as an upgrade for a daily commuter?
@albikes8484 Жыл бұрын
Id say it comes down to riding style and how abusive youll be. They have been pretty solid for me. I have had to re true the rear since ive gotten them. If your a back pedal stopper with the occasional skip stop. These would be great for commuting. If your the type who likes to do sideways lock ups all the time . id say they might not be great for it. Over all with my riding style im happy with them.
@michaelfegreus3058 Жыл бұрын
Okay thanks! I actually run 105 rim brakes on both wheels -- and I'm mostly gentle on the bike. The abuse it gets is mainly from NYC streets being so rough. For the sake of accelerating and taking inclines better I am thinking it's worth it for the occasionally truing. One other question, do you feel like you need to run thinner tires because of how thin the rims are?@@albikes8484
@albikes8484 Жыл бұрын
@@michaelfegreus3058 they are narrow. But I'm positive a 28 would fit nice. I think it might be to narrow for anything over a 30. I do no this. They are fast and smooth wheels. I'm happy with them.
