Great boat. Living vicariously through you. My buddy has a 2021 g23 and he put 1000 lbs of lead in. But he doesn’t have the retractable tower which he said has that weight. Pricing these things in Canada makes them out of reach. Too bad.

I noticed you mentioned bringing a jump starter pack. I have heard that you should never jump start a boat, because of electronics issues or something like that? have you ever heard of anything along those lines?
@wake_mann3 жыл бұрын
I've never heard that and I actually think the opposite. There are so many fail safe fuses and breaker switches in these things that I believe it would trip a breaker or blow a fuse before it would ruin anything. I have jumped almost all of my boats at some point. It's just so easy with these push button start boats to forget and leave the accessory power on.

Love the boat, congratulation to you. Never been on one, just seeing videos of them, but they look amazing and seem to have awesome features. The automated flight tower looks great! Because this was your first ride on water with the new boat, you had to throttle up for a few seconds and then cruise around for a bit in the beginning of the video right?! I'd love to see some more settings or how the dash looks when you're driving to be honest. Also, I hope I don't come across rude or the like: not that I'm financially close to buy one of those stunners, but I'm just interested how the purchasing price rises up depending on the options, for instant the flight tower.
@wake_mann3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I will try to show more of the gauges and settings when Im using the boat next season. The tower is a $20k option from the standard tower, but if you were too do the actuated tower and add bimini, speakers, and triton racks then the telescoping tower is only a $5500 upgrade as it comes with these 3 options.

I just ease off the throttle smoothly and turn away from the wave and I’ve never had a problem with water flowing in, letting off and going into Neutral right away will surely swamp the back of the boat but there is no reason to do that anyways

@@wake_mann I understand that but when buying a boat over 200,000 buy it fully loaded what’s an extra 10,000.
@wake_mann3 жыл бұрын
Its a lot considering I agreed to a certain amount and got hit with $5k in additional material surcharges and the fact I would've liked to have the pro ballast option and $4k was too much for me to swing. Both the pro ballast and stern thruster options are options which can be added later where the telescoping tower is an option which cannot be. This is the 6th wake boat Ive owned and 3rd boat Ive custom ordered. I've personally sold 5 of the boats Ive owned as opposed to trade in. I made an educated and strategic choice based on my budget, experience, and resale value expectancy. Thank you for your input but I respectfully disagree.

@wake_mann3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! We love it. Yea, I think my rope length is 65. I would just rather have lower impact wrecks because I wreck a lot, haha. I've learned most of my tricks at 18 to 19.5 mph so 20.8 feels good.
@ryanshimabukuro32833 жыл бұрын
@@wake_mann gotcha! I just know if my speed is slower, I crash more because the board sticks to the water on the landings so it feels like hitting the water with the brakes on. If you fall a lot, you may want to bump your speed up a little more because that could be a reason for it. I personally think it eliminates/reduces the drag so the board performs the way its designed to.

@@wake_mann I’ve had a G since 2013. Trust me, lots of trial and error to figure out what works. As long as you crank the wheel and leave it in idle until the wash is gone it’s 100%. The wash will actually hit the corner of the boat and help spin you around a little too
@wake_mann3 жыл бұрын
That's what we do, i just dont understand what you mean by idle vs neutral.

@@wake_mann neutral the prop isn’t moving. Idle is just when you’ve put it into gear. So basically when your stopping bring the throttle back just before you hit neutral. Probably the wrong use of idle but back in the day we’d say “idle out” until the rope was tight when we jumped in”. It’s just stuck since then. Hopefully that makes sense.
