Curious if you felt any lag in the trans or shuttering. I had 2 Colorado’s a 2016 with the six speed that had Tran problems. The dealer finally agreed with me and offered for me a new 2020 model with the eight speed. With in the first month of owning the vehicle I had Similar issues. Shuttering,hard down shifts that made a clunking noise and hesitation on up shifts and down shifts especially in traffic. The facts that I had this issue with 2 consecutive trucks makes me curious as to how common it is.

I've had at least 3 maybe 4 trucks with this engine and transmission (only for a week at a time as they are media fleet vehicles) and haven't noticed that issue on any of them.

Great Video, nice job. I Hopefully purchasing a new mid-size truck this summer after I finish up my project 2004 Suburban 2500 8.1L and sell it...Would say that 3 kids ages 9,11,15 could ride "comfortably" in the back seat?...Thank you...

Thanks for watching! Yes I'd say they would fit fine, but if you have a taller family it will be a little tight for the 15 year old on leg room.

I own a 2022 GMC Canyon Elevation, mine is great, the 3.6 V6 runs great I can't compare because I won't Drive anything Foriegn...

I tend to agree that the GMC versions look better in all their trucks and SUVs than the Chevy versions.

U can't slide in a 4x4 sheet of whatever between the wheel wells, for those who are concerned about that sort of thing.

3.6 is a good dependable power plant

I don't doubt that, it just runs as rough as my 1994 Thunderbird's 3.8 V6 did, and while the hp is good, torque is a little low in my opinion. I'm excited to see what the next generation will bring!

The next generation will only have one engine, as far as I know. It will be the 2.7-liter turbocharged inline-4 cylinder.

It certainly looks a little old, but none of the midsize trucks really have an interior on par with the full size trucks.

Maybe I was a little too hard on the engine. It actually has ok power. I don't like how rough it is, but it's old compared to the Ranger and Frontier (which has the best engine/trans combo in the class). Also I don't hide my opinion on midsize trucks. They don't make a lot of sense to me for the price and not great fuel efficiency compared to 1/2 ton trucks.
