People from Vermont are called Vermonsters! Hoooonk!

I am so grateful for pro disc golf coverage. More than the entertainment factor, it reminds us players that this game is hard! I used to go ballistic every time I hit a bad shot, not realizing that bad shots are part of the game. If the best woman player in the world can hit a tree 10 feet in front of her, I guess it’s ok if a weenie like myself does the same thing. Thanks for the great coverage and good luck to the ladies this weekend!

I’ve mentioned a few times how much I enjoy your commentary, one of the things I like best that the guys never do is mention interesting data (birdies, etc.). Keep up the great work.

Madison, you said "schulled" or something close to that around hole 2. I've never heard that word! Can you spell it please! Great commentary btw :-)
@mikejones88662 жыл бұрын
She says if often, and I've tried - unsuccessfully - to look it up. I think it means "bushes." I'm not sure how to spell it either (I've tried various spellings).
@heikothedwarf2 жыл бұрын
as a verb, I suspect it might be 'schule[d]', a contraction for 'shovel'. "shoveling around" is a phrase I could imagine being used. Like Mike mentioned, sometimes she uses it when referring to off-the-fairway bushes and plants and such. Couldn't find that usage online either.

I’ve heard her use the term in other coverage and it has sounded more like “shoal”. But I’m totally guessing also. She is a marine biologist after all.

Hole 7 - why did the camera stay on Catrina instead of actually showing her birdie putt?

Does hokum have a backhand?
@NickCarroll2 жыл бұрын
Yes, though she uses it more for upshots and standstill throws. She's said in an interview earlier this year she often prefers backhand upshots to forehand upshots. She's also spent a lot of time in the last couple years working on it more for drives.

Love the geese but sometimes it feels they are almost annoyed with the difficulty of the course. Which doesn't translate to the obvious increase in talent in FPO

Honastly couldnt agree more
@Gekayshaman2 жыл бұрын
True. I love watching FPO, but every round you hear about how much better the field is there year and how much further everyone is throwing, but then the commentary always is riddled with excuses and throwing blame. Blaming baskets, temperature, feel of disc, tee pads, distance of holes when it's 550 par 4. Also, Cat hasn't been playing well for the past couple of weeks, it's okay to say someone isn't playing well. Commentators don't need to sugar coat everything.

I hate watching Sarah. My elbow hurts just watching her throw. She's amazing and I'm glad it works for her but I cringe watching it. It's like those sidearm relievers
@gercawdell8832 жыл бұрын
Nothing wrong with the way Sarah Hokom and Dan Quisenberry throw. Unorthodox styles can be the path to success, plus variety is entertaining.
@DarkGolbez12 жыл бұрын
If it works, great. It's the follow-through with the right arm that makes me cringe every time I see it. Like honestly, why are you doing that with your arm? It just looks so awkward and weird, and has absolutely nothing to do with a natural follow through of the shot.
