This is just a thought from me to you concerning Beans. Years ago when I really loved beans either Bush or Runners, I used to start them from seed in plastic guttering hanging on the clips in a green house. When it was time to transplant them to my garden, I would just unhook the guttering, take it to the garden, dig a trench, add a little compost, take off the end cap and slide the whole lot into the trench. However while living in coastal Oregon for a while we had Voles, Dig the trench deeper, add 1/2 inch mesh, pin it down, add a little compost, add seedlings from guttering and Bob's your Uncle.. Just a thought..

You have such a beautiful greenhouse! I absolutely love the wood trim. Yours is one I dream of having one day. Right now I have a much smaller aluminium framed one, and it serves me well, I can walk into it, but I sure can’t fit a comfy armchair! Haha. Yours is just beautiful, well done 👏👏

I had questionable luck growing in bags. They drain toooo well. Even with peat moss @ perlite.

You have a water source. The roof. Just need some gutters a barrel and a hose. The plants love rain water way more than city water.... or not.

What is your hardening off process compared to bringing plants from indoors?

It’s much less. I try to transition them to the greenhouse on a cloudy string of days and if I do that, I don’t have to bring them in/out. But if it’s sunny/hot in the greenhouse I have to be more careful. Also, if I take plants to the greenhouse just after germination they don’t have to be hardened off at all.

What’s the thermometer you use for the greenhouse that you can check on your phone?

I have an Ambient Weather station and we have an additional WiFi thermometer accessory that connects to the weather station. I check all of that through the Ambient Weather app.

I love the style of the greenhouse and wish we had the extra land for one like that. We are still considering a small one for our house in south Florida since we do a lot of edible gardening of tomatoes, potatoes, mangoes among others as well as a year round herb garden. It must be so peaceful to have an area where you can go and relax and enjoy nature and be protected from the sun and insects. ✌️🪴🌱🍅🌶🫑
