Noice!!!! I didn’t even think about machining some replacement washers. I have like 3 cnc machines. This is going to be fun! Thanks for the video. You def convinced me to buy an exhaust. I want to be louder n the road. Being such a small bike it’s even harder to see. The first few rides I kept thinking the engine was cutting out when I’d clutch to coast because it’s so dang quiet at idle.

I'm interested in trying it out too; $1,500 sounds pretty high for something that I doubt will make any more power than the single can version, but it looks awesome. Edit: I ordered it 🤪

Is it actually flickering or just shaking from the engine? Low beam is always in when the bike is on.

Are any other mods needed after instillation of the full Yoshimura exhaust system on the ‘22 grom?
@eastcoastish2 жыл бұрын
The sky's the limit, but check out my latest video with the mods I've got now: kzbin.info/www/bejne/haqminijbLWcirM - with intake, exhaust, cam and injector I'm making 13.5hp which is a pretty significant jump from the stock 9hp the bike makes to the wheel.

Nice exhaust, looks and sounds better. Prefer the original plastic body washers though, the contrast looked just right before.. I'm more of a chrome/silver delete person though haha

Hi I really love how your modifying this new Grom I just purchased the exact same model here in the UK. Love this bike it's amazing and draws so much attention from everyone. Please can anyone help me or guide me in the right direction on where I can get the full Yoshi RS2 exhaust system from. I've looked online and no one seems to have it here in the UK. How can I get one here in the UK? Please help.

Yoshimura. Nice. My local dealer doesn't have them yet. How's new seat? Good as Monkey? Looking forward to more testing/riding vids.
@eastcoastish3 жыл бұрын
The seat is really comfortable. I only have 30 miles on the bike at this point though so will update after I get some real miles on it.
@chrisiden3 жыл бұрын
I’ve done some 2 hour rides on my new Grom. The seat is pretty good. Wider than old model and as it is flat you can move forwards/backwards to change position every now and then. But it is no way near as comfy as the Monkey which has one of the comfiest bike seats ever 😀

Looks great, weirdly when I put a Yoshi on my Monkey with no other mods I didn’t think there was any HP gain in fact slightly the opposite. With the standard can there seemed to be better back pressure.
@eastcoastish3 жыл бұрын
The Monkey pipe is so short you're losing back pressure and probably losing power through the first part of the RPM range; you should be adding power up top. I think this bugle-style exhaust is to try and keep back pressure high enough to keep power throughout the band.
@willyjimmy88813 жыл бұрын
Hardracing and another channel did dyno comparisons with stock vs yoshi and it varified what yoshi has on their website. Under 4krpm there's a noticable drop in both hp and torque. As you move higher in the rpm range there's more gains up to about 10%. If you never go over 6k this is probably a really bad mod if power is your goal. Alternatively you can go with a slip on and get the look and more sound without cratering low end performance. Its about 6lbs less weight, so there's that, and the oohs and ahhs on the next group ride for what it's worth.

The Yoshimuira sounds great just like most of their exhaust systems. I love it on my 2019. The washers should be black to hide those bullet holes. The Steady Garage pieces are shiny and bring even more attention to that terrible feature.

Steady also sells them in silver and black; I personally like the way they stand out in raw aluminum.
