2022 Honda Grom Chimera Intake Instal

I Hope everyone is having a great time with their new Grom's, today I received my Chimera intake for my 2022 Honda Grom SP and figured I would do a very quick install video on it. The intake definetly makes the bike sound more grunty and it also feels a little more peppy, I hope y'all enjoy and ill see you on the next video!

I did mine last week tried something different left my intake box inn just took off the filter and box hose and looks better no big hole u should try it🤙

Honestly for the knee pushing out the tabs.. I did both of mine.. sat and thought.. then of course... Super Glue all around the gap. Be careful it will leak past when turned upside down.. layer it.. and fill every light gap

I went with the drow Carbon fiber intake with a K/N looks and sounds Amazing now I just need to get tuned so I don’t blow up because I also have a full exhaust on it Vance and Hines really nice exhaust

So if I have an after market exhaust and an air intake I have to tune the bike?

@@caitlinmathis3309yes it will run lean with too much air if you don’t get it tuned. I suggest dhm or cjr tune

I have the same bike, same exhaust and just ordered the chimera intake. Did you get a tune on you’re computer yet? If yes, where at? Did it run ok without the tune?

Hey man. Did you disconnect the battery to do this? I’m doing mine tonight and heard you have to disconnect the battery so the CEL doesn’t come on.

Honestly it depends on what you are wanting from the bike, I would do exhaust just to get that sound out of it, sounds better and also people will hear you

I have the Istunt exhaust, Chimera intake with the Dynojet Power commander. I havent been able to find a tune for the 2022 Grom. What did you use?

@@Steven-kc7id I did not. I took the Power Commander off and ordered the Stage 3 kit from DHM in Florida. They will send you an new ECU with the kit with the tune on it.

Personally I don’t like the fact that you have to oil up the man in the box intake filter. This chimera intake seems better imo
