Spectacular truck and HOUSE! I’m wondering if yo7 could comment on how the gasser is performing for you. I’m on the verge of moving from a 2019 Ram 3500 SRW, to. 5500 with super single conversion. Yours is very inspirational. I’m on my second Cummins and I really love the diesel performance, but this is my first with DEF. I have been very frustrated by the DEF consumption ,it’s wayyy more than one fill up every 7500 miles. I’m getting more like one fill up every 1500-2000. I’m four plus fill-ups and I’m not even to my first oil change yet! So to get to my question. Do you think you could try to show a video demonstrating how the hemi pulls/ shifts, etc? Thank you very much -love the channel and your approach to overkill.

Thank you so much for the positivity, Terry! This build has been a lot of fun and I am glad I went with the HEMI 6.4 engine. Matched with rtes AISIN transmission it has worked perfectly so far. I will try my best and make a video of the gearing with the truck. Thanks again for your support, I really appreciate you. Nate

Oh and….one more thing if you don’t mind. You noted that you might find yourself towing a boat as the only other significant load on the truck. Me too! I’d love to see how that works with your set up. Thanks again..

Nate! Congratulations! What an exciting day for you! And that truck and camper make a fantastic looking pairing! You are ready for what seems to be the impending Apocalypse. My Mammoth is being built, and I think I will be able to order my truck this weekend, so the excitement builds! Some observations: 1. Quite the drop for the stairs...do you have a plan for an extended stairway or something? I've seen them on some RV sites... 2. Now I want that cool camper dolly he was wheeling around. 3. Is that TWO Mammoths I see sitting on his lot? That is like seeing two Bigfoots (Bigfeet?) together! Looking forward to other videos!

So your bed is basically a short bed and it can handle the size and weight of the mammoth? I'm sure you have self leveling airbags also correct?
@KruseandViews3 жыл бұрын
My flatbed is 9.6 feet long so it's about 3 feet longer than a pickup truck short bed. No airbags as the leaf spring package on the 5500 RAM can handle 11K lbs of payload.
@joebidden49143 жыл бұрын
@@KruseandViews ahh ok I was thinking it was a 3500. So it's a Cab and chasing model? It looks like a short bed wheel base but it's actually a long bed configuration for wheel base?
@daemocd3 жыл бұрын
Nice rig and camper. Isn't that truck bed too short for the Host Mammoth?
@KruseandViews3 жыл бұрын
No the bed is 9.6 feet long so the Mammoth sits exactly 8 feet on the bed which is the full amount. Thanks
@daemocd3 жыл бұрын
@@KruseandViews That is good. But on the video looks like the box on the front of the bed is blocking the camper to go further in and good part of it, hangs in the back and the center of gravity passes the rear wheel giving the impression that the bed is short. Safe travels and congrats for the new toy!
@KruseandViews3 жыл бұрын
@@daemocd Great observations. The center of gravity sits right over the rear axle and the silver tank is my 70 gallon auxiliary fuel tank plus my spare tire. Thank you for your kind words my friend!
@CJ-pi8uf3 жыл бұрын
Since 4500/5500 are sold with dual rear wheels, did you select any special tire setup for the rear? Does it affect the load you can carry?
@KruseandViews3 жыл бұрын
Great question. I had a company called Buckstop Truckware do a single wheel conversion. The tires have a max load capacity of 7,000 LBS so that's more than the dually tires. Check out Buckstop as they have a lot more info on their website about it.
