After you switch, your Apple ID, one, strange thing does happen. When you go to update your apps, they are still pointed to the previous Apple ID. And they make you put the password in for the old ID that that app was originally download it under. So I had to delete each app and re-edit with the correct new Apple ID.

@@chuckklemme6988 … it depends if the app was purchased, it can only be purchased again under the original ID. When you log into your new Apple ID, it will not know that you had purchased that app on another Apple ID.. So, in that case, yes you would have to repurchase

No way to get the all of the purchased apps to ‘point’ to the new Apple ID? So one must remember the original Apple ID and it’s password? Not to shoot the messenger….appreciate your responses.😉

@@chuckklemme6988 .. yes if you want to keep a purchased app like that.. it will require you to put old apple Id and password in yes… as far as I know, no way to transfer ownership that way.

What happens if your Apple ID and then other app another device is already there and you had another Apple ID made in another device just a different one and if I want to change the Apple ID from the first device to my old device what how can you do that because when I tried doing the thing you did Apple said email used by another Apple ID this email address is not available choose a different address so I don’t know what to do to bring back my old Apple ID for this new device in my other Apple ID because I want to change it back to my old one but it won’t let me so how can I do that?

I do this. It told me that the email that I have chosen cannot be the same as my notification email address. I would like to change whatever this notification email address is. But when I search for it. I cannot find it. When I try to look it up on KZbin. Every video shows me how to receive notifications for any email that I have linked in my phone. It does not show me how to Allow me to change whatever email that is associated with the message that I received. Can you please help. Or direct me to a video, if you need one.

You have to use an existing email, it doesn’t create a new one.

This is not correct way to change your email password. Apple ID and Email ID are two different passwords. Don’t lose your Apple password . Do not change your Apple ID unless you want that particular ID changed.

What I wonder is am I able to change my first ID to the Second ID? When I type the second ID as new account information, It says "This email address is not available. Choose a different address." but I saw some comment in google that If the new account was created within 30 days, We can't change to another account" So... I can't understand the pop-up meaning. I don't quite get 'the email address the you own' part. do you have to initially create a new iCloud email before trying to change the old one to it? also, if you create a new iCloud email, wouldn't it be linked to an Apple ID?

Let's say that you have multiple email address besides the old one from your Apple ID (which is the one you wanna change). So you're gonna choose one of those emails that you already have and own and make it your main Apple ID email. You can create a brand new one before making the change or use an existing one and the code should be sent to that one that you own.

Very good explanation but once I changed the email then went back into the Apple ID page it still shows the old email address after the settings page and shows the new email after clicking on name phone number and email yet not showing the new email back on the settings page under my name, hmmm as I missing something?

Your iPhone and your iPad should be syncing over iCloud. Make sure they are both logged into the same Apple ID account.
