Great review! Yes, I absolutely love this SUV. Hyundai and KIA just seem to always be a few steps ahead of the competition. They pack their vehicles with the most advanced safety features and throw in some really incredibly designed interiors. I know the industry is moving to more smart screen touch designs but I love physical buttons and the Santa Fe's center console is amazing, especially when driving at night! Thank you.

Just bought one of these today. I absolutely love it! I also have a 2021 BMW 430i, and the perks and extras for this Hyundai just seem well beyond what I expect for a standard German luxury car. There are so many great features, but the navigation board the and the climate controlled seats are by far my favorites (so far).

Love your presentation. Had ours for two weeks. Complaint: the seats are a bit hard or maybe my old butt just hasn't sat on anything this new in ten years. Likes: absolutely everything else! The manual could be written a little better. For instance we figured out: Lane Assist, button above your left knee, car reads lane markings, beeps if you cross one without turn signals and continuously and very gently coaxes the steering toward the center of the lane. So gently in fact, you may not even be aware of it. You might think the car just naturally stays in its lane. Other than being reminded to use turn signals, there is no reason not to use this feature. Steering Assist, button on right side of steering wheel, grants the electric steering enough authority to actually follow visible lane markings even through fairly tight turns. Only issue with this is with unmarked lanes or at an exit where the right lane marking veers off to the right, the system may not have enough information to function, so keep your hands on the wheel. (It will beep after a few seconds if you don't.) Your hand resting on the wheel satisfies the system and this feature really reduces arm and shoulder fatigue on long drives. It can be over ridden with very little force on the steering wheel.

Hyundai Group (along with Genesis and Kia) have been making awesome vehicles the past few years. They have improved upon and exceeded expectations, including the benchmarks (competitors) in their respective classes. And folks, I think we can all come to an agreement that the “… for a Hyundai/Kia” backhanded compliment should be retired when it comes to interior materials and attention to detail. The UX involved in creating their center consoles is great. They are doing such an amazing job with placement and layout of physical buttons.

The 2.5T is mated to a 8 speed dual clutch automatic. This pairing, and the Santa Fe’s lighter vehicle weight, allow for 6 second 0-60 and 14.5 in the quarter mile. Very quick times for this non-luxury brand SUV class. The wheels on the Limited are polarizing to say the least - would drive me up to the Calligraphy for $2k more. Nice job on the review. Would have liked to have heard more of the engine/transmission under load. Thanks
@Tom-mu7zy2 жыл бұрын
At 5347 pounds its heavy enough and feels very solid. The engine and transmission do provide impressive performance and without premium fuel! I chose the limited and 19 inch wheels to have a little more tire between the pot holes and the wheels.
@leastcoast5606 Жыл бұрын
@user-vr2en4ub6u My 2023 Santa Fe Calligraphy weighs about 4100. The dual clutch auto doesn't shift as quick as I thought it would .The car is quick with the AWD keeping the tires on the ground.

@@Tom-mu7zy Hey Tom, what about the dual clutch transmission? Any issues with the herky-jerky low speed shifting we keep hearing is so bad with DCT's? I know they shift great once you get going but I worry about just crawling along in a line of cars at Dairy Queen.
@Tom-mu7zyАй бұрын
@@ofcbob6391 I didn't really understand the dual clutch on the Santa Fe limited turbo AWD when I bought it and I still don't. All I know is it is smooth shifting. You hardly notice the gear changes. It acts just like any good automatic transmission at any speed. I don't put it in sport mode and push the car to max performance but my assumption is that the dual clutch softens the shifting even at high power and high RPM. My wife and I are extremely happy with this car after 27,000 miles.

@@Tom-mu7zy Good to hear Tom, I'm thinking of getting a 21 Limited with only 20K miles BUT it was a Hyundai buy-back due to engine issues that could not be addressed to the satisfaction of the owner. Heated steering wheel? Looks great but the four banger Turbo cannot replace the smoothness of the V-6 and you will also experience smoother shifting transmission when coupled to V-6 engines not to mention better longevity of the V-6 as well as double the towing power. Turbo 4 is almost as thirsty as a V-6 so no advantage there either. Why am I saying this-b/c at the price of the Limited you can get the Telluride or Palisade or possibly the Atlas, the Murano or the Pathfinder etc..all V-6 equipped. Also something is wrong if you opt for the larger info display than it cannot be wireless apple/Android, but you can connect wireless with smaller screen ?

Very informative. I have a 2010 Santa Fe which I bought new and am thinking of buying a 2022. To get the feel of luxury and the safety and technology, do you think the Limited series is required? Also I love the idea of a hybrid but do not want a plug in. Does Santa Fe make a non plug in hybrid and what is the approx. additional cost? Thank you.
@Tom-mu7zy2 жыл бұрын
They do make a hybrid. The gas and electric work together for a net 226 hp. This is between the 191 hp non turbo and the 281 hp in the turbo limited and caligraphy. The hybrid is quieter than the non turbo and gets 30mpg in city and highway. Oh, and all the hybrids are all wheel drive. In the Tuscon, the hybrid system is the most powerful system available, but I prefer the turbo 2.5L in the Santa Fe.

The Santa Fe is one looking crossover. The interior 👌 🙌 is noticeably a huge change upgrade the infotainment screen to the push buttons transmission that 8 speed.
