Bought the 2023 Santa Fe Calligraphy 2 weeks ago. The technology is mind boggling. The 2.5L turbo is really fast. Interior is really well done. Body fit and finish is first rate.

I have a 2019 Kia Optima LX and I absolutely love the highway driving assists. Wish it had adaptive cruise control and 360/surround view camera, but it’s fine. For a base model, I was shocked with what actually came standard (blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, lane centering, lane departure warning, rear park assist w/cross traffic warning). What I don’t like is how Hyundai and Kia are stripping away many of those features on base models. Guess I got lucky in getting the Optima when I did.

Which button are you holding to move the car after remote start? Also, does this work on the hybrid model?

It's a 7 button remote... two of the buttons are move forward and move backwards... Rocket science I know. As for what vehicles have this? This is top-trim stuff ONLY (like the blind spot turn signal camera). If you buy the top trim, Tucson, Santa Fe, etc... you'll get these features, if you go down on a cheaper trim, these features don't exist.

I've had the Santa Fe Limited since June. This is a very responsive high tech vehicle. It is replacing my 2010 Audi Q5 with a 3.2 270 hp v6 and is noticeably quicker although it does not handle as well. I love the 8 speed tranny which, to me is the best automatic I have ever driven. I have some picky issues like no computation of average speed or an effective trip odometer. It has no fog lamps and the driver armrest armrest does not come forward enough to be effective.

Admittedly, I have very little experience with Kia models. However, solely based on my excellent experience with Hyundai I would lean that way. Also I much prefer the look of the Santa Fe vs Sorento. But again it’s whatever you prefer

@@MetzTech When I try using the fob to pull my Limited into the garage it does not make any adjustments to avoid hitting the side. So it has to be positioned for a straight on forward move. I think for parking it will make small adjustments but I am unable to find any detail from Hyundai about any limitations of this feature. Got anything on this?

@sonarvord it's literally a straight forward or straight reverse function only. It will make ZERO ADJUSTMENTS. Parking assist is poorly named... this is not meant to help you park... the real feature and what it should be called: "Some A-Hole parked his car two inches from my driver side door while I was shopping, and now I can't get in my car unless I could magically move my car forward so I could get in". But maybe that was too long a name, so they just called it "Parking assist".
