After 12 years of wanting to go to the Isle for this race, I finally made it this year. On my first day there, (the last practice day) I joined the marshal team and that afternoon I stood at the top of Bray (St. Andrews Church) and witnessed up close the incredible talent of all these riders and race teams. It was sensory overload in the best possible way. During my 10 days there, I met many great people, and was welcomed to the event by both the marshals and some of the race teams. I shared the joy of those who completed the races, and the sadness of one team whose rider passed away, doing what he loved. That team welcomed me to share in the memories of their fallen teammate, and told me of all the fun times and fond memories. I am forever grateful to everyone I met at the TT in 2022, and will be returning for many years to come. Finally, I want to thank EVERYONE who makes this event happen, the Isle of Man government, the residents, the police and medics, the race organization who handles the monumental task of running a 37.5 mile circuit, the marshals (all volunteers, and over 600 strong), the riders and teams, the spectators from all over the world, the media crews, vendors, the list goes on. And to those riders who passed, godspeed and RIP. ❤

Great job with the Streaming App!!! For your 1st year doing a live broadcast you hit it out of the park! It was so awesome to be able to watch all the sessions live instead of just watching a 1/2 hr daily re-cap show. The hosts and hostesses were great and a big nod to Jenny and Jenny who had to deliver some hard news at times. They were very professional and compassionate under some very difficult circumstances. They made a great team along with the other guys out on the course and up in the booth. Also a nod to all the camera men and women who captured all the action. The helicopter crews did a remarkable job picking up the competitive riders and tracking them along the course where it was often difficult. There were very little technical problems and the broadcasts came off very smooth. For a the 1st year of doing this everyone deserves a lot of credit and a well deserved rest! Thank you for broadcasting this and making this event accessible to all of us who couldn't make it to the island. I can't wait to sign up for next year's TT! Cheers

I could not agree more! The Indy 500 has been calling itself, "the greatest spectacle on Earth," for it's entire existence. I strongly disagree with the Indy 500! The ACTUAL, "Greatest Spectacle on Earth," is and has been, since it's existence, The ISLE OF MAN TT RACES! In my opinion, the TT is a far greater spectacle than the Indy 500. Just sayin'! From a long time fan of motor sports overall, I LOVE THE TT the very most, hands down! ✌✌🧡🏍 coming from Rockwall, Texas. Cheers

@turbokatzenburg57322 жыл бұрын
@@russelljones6795 Absolutely. I finally made it to the TT this year, and four hours later on the first morning I was a member of the marshal crew, standing at the top of Bray Hill, within a foot of riders passing me at 100+ mph. Sensory overload is a pale description of how it is in person. This is an event one MUST experience in person. The tv coverage, while excellent, cannot capture the sights, sounds and feel of what these guys do. Sportsnet and Duke travel both offer excellent event packages at reasonable costs, but you MUST book by end of November to get the best deals, they sell out fast.

As someone who was at the race and talked with one of the teams whose rider passed, I respectfully disagree. There have been many tribute videos made about those who didn't make it, and as the team told me, the riders and teams are well aware of the risks, and do it because they love the sport and accept the risks. They don't want the memories to focus on the tragic, but rather on the love and good times they had. Virtually everyone who watched or followed the TT knows what happened, so I see no need to close out the event with yet another reminder of the negatives.
