2022 Jaguar F-PACE SVR Review

Thanks to it's 550PS, 5.0 litre supercharged V8 engine, the Jaguar F-PACE SVR offers a top speed of 178mph and a 0-60 time of just 3.8 seconds. WLTP MPG is just 23.1.
The Jaguar F-Pace SVR has such great appeal, even for an SUV as, at the flick of a switch it can change personality entirely. It’s a very comfortable and practical cruiser but is also capable of pant-wetting performance and has an engine note that will put a smile on the most miserable of faces. This is a very fast SUV by anyone's standards.
The 2022 Jaguar F-Pace SVR benefits from the superb 11.4-inch Pivi Pro infotainment system which is very responsive and integrates perfectly with wireless apple car play in a way that I've not personally seen before.
The 8-speed torque converter gearbox cruises very nicely but takes on the more of the characteristics of a Dual Clutch system when in Dynamic driving mode making gear changes more urgent and efficient.
The Jaguar F-Pace SVR is one of the most exciting SUVs on the road today and somehow doesn't fall victim to some of the ostentatious exterior bells and whistles that can render some of its direct rivals as "a little naff". Its subtle styling combined with an exquisite V8 exhaust note means this sounds as good as it looks - the F Pace SVR is a real triumph.

Hi Jim . You nail it every time . I have had my SVR since September. It ticks all my boxes . If you never leave Dynamic Mode and have it in Sports you are not going to get much in the way of MPG but … I drove from Gatwick to Reading ; put it in Eco ( to try it out ) and it returned 28. Happy to share the journey data sheet ! Off to Scarborough before year end . Dynamic on the AcRoads and Comfort on the Motorway. It seriously is not ridiculous fuel costs for a Supercharged V8. I’ve had mine a week now. It fits my 2 kids in and a pram easily. It handles like a sports car, sounds like a sports and makes you smile like a sports car would. I get 17mpg average, and that’s with having a bit of fun. Don’t buy it as your daily unless you can spare a lot of cash because it is expensive to run. However, a 5.0 supercharged V8 that sounds this good in 2022 is an absolute master stroke from Jaguar. Enjoy it before it’s gone.

You could of course go for a 24 month ex LR director SVR with circa 20k miles and only spend £45k to £50k (including a 3 year ext warranty). The money saved will help pay for the first few litres of fuel. I am fortunate to have an SVR F type and thankfully i can get the low to mid 30mpg if i avoid town commutes, and less than 10mpg when on the autobahn. Reliability has been outstanding and servicing is reasonable (i pay £42 per month 5 year service plan - only tyres extra).Also fortunate i have disability exemption so no road tax worries, mind you people do query blue badge until they see the chair (bespoke fitting in passenger footwell) Have a good xmas and look forward to your next review.

-Liking the jumper.- -Nice jumper- Interesting Jumper. Did the missus buy it for you for Christmas? And now you have to wear it because she -told you too.- Well... She saw you getting ready to do this video in another jumper and gave you _that look_ (Which all women can!) and you thought, _"Crap! I'd better change it for some peace and quiet?"_ 8-))... However. Finally... Someone talking about a high performance SUV, giving facts and not bemoaning the obvious high running cost for ownership of such a beast. If you can afford a £80k+ high performance SUV, then running costs are not really going to be considered. You're going to be able to afford to run it. I have to admit that I do like the F-Pace SVR. Though on a disability pension, I'm going to have to wait till that _golden finger_ points in my direction 8-))...

Yes it's a brilliant package, but you get better performance in the I-Pace, at a fraction of the running cost. Is this just a 'swan song' car?
