This may be the most important talk for those of us who struggle with the early stages of meditation :) For many months I have been trying with the "puppy training" mindset - if a puppy runs away, put him back in place. It relaxed the body, but it did not relax the brain. Finally I thought, "Do you want to run? Run! Run wherever you want! Plan, analyze, imagine whatever you want!" and all thoughts stopped immediately.
