Note: this car is brand new and has around 700 km on clock, the fuel consumption is higher as usual. It should be around 0.5 to 2.0 liter less consumption after 2000km on clock

Be sure that the consumption does not go down by 2 lt, maybe 0,5 at most.

@@cagriozbek517 at higher speed like 160 or 180 kmh around 2 liter less, at 80 or 100 will be 0.5 liter less and 120 140 around 1 liter less

Tried the previous gen with same engine/DCT/AWD: Consumption, acceleration, top speed are quite similar It really needs some aero works to help with consumption at anything above 80km/h Great videos as usual! 🥰

It won;t be much lower, around 8l/100km at 120km/h and 10l at 140km/h is what most people are getting. This engine just is and has always been very thirsty.

Why doesn’t Kia offer the new Sportage with adaptive dampers in the UK like they do in other markets? I actually tweeted to the author of an Auto Express review of the new Sportage asking why this is so, and he said that - and I’m quoting directly here - “it's probably down to the UK market aiming for a certain price on the car and choosing the manufacturing variances accordingly.” So maybe that could be why?

Moderate performance considering 180 hp but quite a lot consumption for a newly built modern car/SUV. Other than that, nice car at all.

This engine uses a lot of fuel in every car. Kia took it straight from the previous generation where it was considered thirsty as well.

It is far from slow. I outraced all the vehicles with it. 8.5 secs to 100. I outraced a BMW F30 320d with Xdrive by multiple car lengths. That thing has 184hp and 400nm of torque. In Europe most other cars are small 1.6- 1.9 with usually not more than 120hp. 150hp for instance is considered as powerful, which it is. Everything that can go uphill without losing speed without full throttle with AC on and that can overtake a car safely and reach speeds of above 170km/h isn't considered slow.

or just buy 2WD and not AWD, AWD consume lots and anyway it has 700 km on clock that engine is brand new, that cause more fuel than usual, so after 2000 km should be bit less :)

You're comparing a lighter limousine with an aerodynamically inefficient heavier SUV. You can't expect lower fuel consumption in a high power petrol AT AWD 1600kg heavy SUV. If you need fuel consumption go for the weak 1.6 CRDI or HEV/PHEV.
