2022 KTM 890R 20,000km review.

Hey guys, I just thought I'd share my thoughts on my 18 month / 20,000km ownership of the 890R. I ride this bike fairly hard but look after it very well. I'm hoping to get many more KM's out of it!

Yes good, warts and all opinions. Some people spend 15 minutes on video ripping into KTM over a horn falling ! I just got a new 23 model on run-out deal for a good price, awesome machine so far But all these videos have me waiting for the first failure. I’ve got a Ktm 350 , 690 and have had at least 6 x 300 ‘s with never having an issue. Hoping the 890 keeps that run going !

Agreed, I don't sweat the little things. Can it be annoying, yes, but I'm sure all bikes can be like that.. So far, 20k in, I love it. Like I said, I just hope I can keep riding the way I do for years to come. Enjoy your bike Richard!!

Thanks for sharing. I have the same bike same year although just shy of 10,000 km. I have had some great off road rides here in BC but nowhere as muddy as yours LOL. Sure hope we don't experience any of the cheese cam issues. Safe riding cheers

@@carlbayard8729 Yeah man, go find some mud!! lol! Honestly the bike has been great, but I’ve been thinking of going to the T7. But it’s quite a downgrade to the 890R.. like I said, I’ll take it in soon for the valve adjustment, then we will see and I’ll report! Glad you enjoyed the video! Ride safe!

I also own a T7 and enjoy the ride. However in my humble opinion the 890 is way more fun to ride especially off road. Relating to the cheese cam according to my dealer who sold me the bike the occurrence has been much mostly on pre 2020 bikes and very few 2021 onward. They also told me that if it did occur on my 2022 they would take care of me. Whether that is true or not cannot confirm. Having had many Ducatis and some with issues when you go for high performance bikes there are more incidence of issues. I’m sticking with my 890 as like you I love the ride.
