2022 LRP Historics #33 Porsche 914 Race 4, Greg Amy driving.
A lot of entrants had left for the weekend due to threat of rain but the day was a mostly dry track with rain sprinkles. We had a thin field but thanks to the fans for sticking around!
You'll note that the green flag was delayed for three laps; why? Watch the reflection in the upper right of my video, around the 0:50 mark: as I turned into T1 I looked back and saw Simon's Kirkby's wheel passing him! Simon did a great job bringing his Hillman Imp to a controlled stop but I knew at that point we couldn't go green so I stuck with Josh Brown (red GTI, fastest lap of the weekend) just in case Simon "limped the Imp" to the T3 gate; he didn't. So we waited a few laps while EV cleared the car from the track.
I got a good run on Josh into T1 to take the lead for a while, but I knew it was inevitable that Michael Hurczyn in the '89 BMW 325i (who chose to start last) would soon enter the scene. And he did. Passing me easily in the Left Hander, he moved on and I focused on Josh to finish P2.
It was a fun race and I scootered over to shake their hands and thank them for a fun time. We need to bring this little orange 914 out more often!

Thanks! It's a 2L-based 2056cc build, Webcams 86A, prob around 9.5:1 CR, Dellortos 40 DRLAs. Not too aggressive, dependable, solid runner.
