The Bantam shown in video is a BRC 40. BRC 40 was the _third_ generation Bantam 1/4 ton 4X4 military prototype, produced _after_ both the BRC 60 contract and the original BRC prototype 'Blitz Buggy'. Over 2,600 were produced between March 31 and December 06, 1941, 62 of them with four wheel steering. BRC 40 competed head on with the Willys MA and Ford GP vehicles prior to Willys Overland being awarded the G503 contract with Ford to be added as subcontractor which resulted in Willys MB and Ford GPW vehicles.
