Going through locks its best to go starboard side to and a single mid cleat line is sufficient, if you have to go port side then the midcleat scenario can be done through the window.

10:13 the bimini cover. However stable you say it is, it will collapse with 40 knots of wind behind it, and the frame will bend and the strap will break. Take my word for it I been there. Insurance job.
