Hi Stephen! Great video, seems like you definitely had a lot to work on this one with all the configurations. Had to watch the video twice because I didn't wanted to miss any detail of it. For that price: give me some air intakes here and there 😂, this laptop looks like it is going to be a nice stove after playing any demanding games for a couple of hours, even with max fan. That poor cpu is definitely needing more power, great numbers in paper but not the performance expected. Besides all of that, it's a good looking laptop, with cool rgb lighting, In any case, not even selling my soul like someone commented here, I could afford this laptop 😂😂 but is nice to have a video for daydreaming about it. Hey Andres! Yes, this configuration is too expensive. Definitely the i7 and 3070Ti is the way to go. I still think that is too expensive to be honest. Work has been very busy so it took me a while to finish this one. Take care my friend!

I am getting tired of this 4k panel trend on 15" gaming laptops. Today's GPUs still are not suited for gaming on laptops above QHD, and also 15" is just to small for full benefits of a 4k resolution (would argue even for 17"). This has to stop! :)

The stock pasting is definitely a bit tragic on your unit, those core deltas are suspicious 😂😂 Great review, a good laptop, very expensive but very powerful... Intel is beast, only downside is undervolts being almost reduced to zero 🙄🙄

Its not actually paste Artur. Its the liquid metal pad that when it heats up it melts and when it cools down it becomes a pad again. Seems pretty poor. That core spread was crazy...

Hey stephen, great video. Can you also cover the MORONIC design by MSI with their msi gf65 thin? It is the cheapest rtx 3060 laptop that is brand new at $800 and is genuinely a good deal except MSI literally blocked its vents. That laptop weighs 1.8kg and has 6 heatpipes with 2 fans. A beefy solution indeed. However due to the blocked vents it runs hot. All MSI has to do is put ventilation directly below the fans and they can easily make their rtx 3060 run at atleast 100w instead of the current 80w. It is a absolute shame they are doing this because it genuinely is a good product. I mean its very lightweight and thin. So quite portable. Because even Asus stopped the blocked vents as they now put more vents in their new tuf a15.

One is sRGB mode and the one below is aRGB mode . Showing you the difference in readings in the two modes. The type face makes the s and a look similar at first glance

Maybe my expectations are unrealistic but I would expect better build quality for $4,000. I think the design is a little long in the tooth, and it doesn't seem to be better constructed than a Legion 7, which can be had for far less (2022 units are still MIA). Also, no advanced Optimus. For me, this is a solid machine but not outstanding when compared with the competition.

Yeah. For me the biggest killer was the lack of power on the CPU . 71w is holding it back and makes no sense at all. I do prefer my Legion 7

Welcome to my channel. My buddy bought the GP76 with the i7 12700H and 3070Ti and it runs cool. He also had the GP66 but that one had a bit of coil whine so he returned it for the GP66. The Aorus 17 I reviewed ran cool and I did like it. May not be the fastest about and there is no Mux though.

Thanks, glad you liked my video. I think I was referring to my Legion 7, that had a 5800H and 3070Ti and I had that for about 1 year. I ended up having repaste that one. 11th Gen was a bit of a waste of time really, wasn't much better than 10th Gen CPUs, so I would stick with a 12th Gen. Definitely faster CPUs and single core performance not much less than 13th Gen so for gaming they are good. I upgraded my 5800H laptop to a 12800HX machine and the difference was night and day. Shame, I just sold my GE77HX but you might be able to pick one up for $1200. Getting to $500 is a tough challenge, you are in the realms of 10750H + Rtx 2070 second hand machines. Still pretty decent though.

I'm not so much going to be gaming but want the option (use to game, started with 1st Medal of Honor in 2000?), graphics and power. I'm an audio book editor, a good/great sound card, quality headphone jack, decent built in DAC/amp woulld be great. Currently using separate JDS Atom stack (DAC/AMP) thru USB on old ACER laptop to drive full size headphones, also use IEMs. Which do you prefer or recommend more AMD or Intel CPU's?

imo, absolutely useless for an average user for these money I would recommend anybody who doesn't have a money printer to stick to 3060/3070 laptops Though 12th gen CPUs are beasts they are unnecessary upgrade from 11th gen since the availability of these chips aren't able to set the new standard of the processing power I might be wrong though
