thats the problem with the knicks... draft a rookie, dont play him much = cant develop. The rookie wont see improvement and then fans say he is a bust or like compare him to other rookies in his draft class and say how they're much better than him. Knicks continue to lose games. Eventually, after several years later that rookie will want to be traded and leave the Knicks cuz they arent getting the minutes, disagreement with the coach, fans and media say they suck, and the team as a whole keeps losing games.

When they had the number one pick in the past in 92, 93 and 2004, the Magic selected wisely. In 92 they selected Shaq, in 93 they selected Webber though they traded him on draft night that year to Golden State's number three pick Penny Hardaway, in 2004 they selected Dwight Howard. I still remember in 93 when the Magic selected Chris Webber and the fans erupted in cheers in Orlando. But the moment they traded him to Golden State for Penny, fans were disappointed. However, they eventually warmed up to Penny even though there were fans who were dreaming of the O'Neal/Webber frontline.

Tall (over 6'10) skinny white people in the nba all seem to have injury issues. - jabari smith jr = dude is related to kwame brown. He has kwame brown genetics LOL. - paolo = low bball iq and seems a bit slow. His style of play is similar to bigs of the 90's and early 2000's. Modern nba game style does not favor those types of player anymore. But hopefully all 3 listed have a good career. Chet could be a little bit of larry bird and KD. Jabari maybe related to kwame but we cant judge a player based on who they are related. Paolo might adapt and be a modern day big.

it was worth it, they got a ring. Lakers are a franchise that every top player eventually wants to play for so for them it dont really matter if they draft a bust or no draft at all. They will eventually have a superstar sign with them. You look at stars like giannis, ben simmons, embiid, trae young, ja, zion, donovan mitchell, darius garland, lamelo, etc. Eventually one of these players will one day play for the lakers.

Other than that, I cant call it a strong draft yet unless other guys like Okongwu, Wiseman and others step it up. Okoro's a nice piece but doesnt look like an all star. Best to look at that draft maybe next year or the year after. CJ McCollum started producing on his 3rd year. Lonzo Ball finally realized he's not the next JKidd but he's not bad either. A good reference is last year. 2021 had a strong class with lots of guys looking to develop further.

Desmond bane should have been a top 8 pick in that draft, grizzlies got a steal in drafting him at #30. Kid can shoot and is clutch.

I think they may trade that final 1st round pick away. I hope they'll draft or trade up (maybe with Charlotte?) for any combo of Eason, Sochan, Duren...and not more overseas prospects or guards except mayyybe Jovic if he falls to the 25th pick range. They probably should have taken Sengun last year but can't change that now. We need an athletic 6'8" forward. That's why I say Eason. Rebounding, size, athleticism. I like Poeltl but as a backup who can defend and get some blocks/rebounds. Modern NBA just requires more athleticism and shooting really.
