after he missed his 4th extra point attempt the cowboys led 24-0. if he had made all 4 of those, they would have led 28-0, and if the bucs follow that up with a field goal, the score would’ve been 28-3. by missing 4 extra points maher made sure that his team would avoid the 28-3 curse (unless the cowboys scored two consecutive safeties which is highly unlikely), therefore securing the win. brett maher is a hero.
