Thank you so much! I used your 2021 template and lots of people commented on how great it is. I just kept sending my colleagues your way! I've downloaded the 2022 version but it is missing Term 2, 3 and 4 in the program section. Not sure if it's just my version or if I've accidentally deleted it. My question is, is there any way to copy and paste Term 1's section and paste it to create a section for Term 2, 3 and 4's program?

Oh that's strange I haven't had anyone else mention this issue. Yes absolutely you can copy and paste. Just make a new section group and name it term 2 (do the same for 3 and 4). In the term 1 section go to the tabs at the top. Right click and it will give you a prompt option to move or copy. Click that. Then it should prompt you to select where you want to copy it to. Find the Term 2 section from the list. Make sure you click copy, and not move. Do the same with the rest of the tabs across the top. Its fiddly but it works. I’m looking for a secondary version. We use day to a page, 6 periods per day, calendar dated diaries from Createl. Everything else - mark books, rolls, timetables, rosters, school planning, calendars, etc are all on Sentral. Trying to use OneNote on our iPads with Apple Pencil (so we can quickly hand write) as our day planner. It’s proving really difficult and I can’t find any help from DET or Microsoft. How do you create a simple day planner, day to a page, 6 periods a day (pretty basic and simple really) that syncs with calendar where you can go ahead say, two weeks and put something on a the page for that date I.e., assessment schedules due Friday 21st June - turn your pages forward two weeks and write in a reminder something is due on that day like you would a normal paper diary. I noticed in your day and term planner, every page was dated the day you created it.

Congrats on your first year! Nothing yet from Microsoft yet. But could you get access to a PC with onenote? You can sign in and download to your cloud then access on your mac. If you can't do this send me msg on facebook or twitter or insta and I'll help you out 👍

I am job sharing this year and was hoping to use this planner as our planning and communication platform. Is there a way we can use this the same way as using say a google doc where we can edit it online and access it from anywhere rather than having to download every time? If you download the planner while signed into your onenote then it will be in your file and you can access anywhere as long as you are signed in. You can also use it collaboratively by clicking file, share and using your job share teachers email to add to them. From memory it might prompt you to add to your onedrive before sharing it. Just keep in mind once you share it with someone they can see everything in there so if you're using it for personal or confidential records too you might want to password protect those sections. You can add them as an editor or viewer 👍

Hi Alicia 😀 as I mention in the video unfortunately the microsoft engineers havent been able to generate a version for me that allows sharing on alternate platforms. However there is a way around it... if you can borrow a PC or laptop that has the 2016 version of onenote and log into your onenote account, then download the planner from the link I shared. Then open it and sync so that it saves to the cloud. Then you will be able to log in on your mac and locate the planner in your recent files. You will need to click 'more notebooks' or 'other notebooks' and it will be there. It's fiddly unfortunately but its a way around the problem. Let me know if you can't get it to work 👍

Hi Julia! I'm so glad to hear your enjoying all the sharing 😊 Yes absolutely. If you can sync up to the cloud you will be able to use on all platforms. In the 2016 version just click file share and type in an email (it can be your own email) and it will prompt you to save to the drive or cloud (can't remember what wording it says). Then follow that prompt and it will save to the cloud and then you can access on all platforms when you sign in.

Hmmm thats strange. It should be in your recent files. Perhaps shut everything down and restart and see if that gives it a kick start? Let me know if that doesnt work

It only downloads to the desktop without the option to access from the web and cannot be found in my recent files. Any ideas? I have loved using this planner this year, thanks for sharing this.

Ahhh I think the issue is trying to find it in the office 365 version. In the 2016 app version I think you need to upload it to onedrive to be able to see it in the office 365 version (I never use the office 365 version so didn't think to mention it in the video). Let me know if that doesnt work.

Hi! I loved your layout in OneNote and I am looking to make a digital planner for students using OneNote. The one drawback I am experiencing is that I cannot share the OneNote notebook without them all working in the same OneNote. Is there a workaround? Hi Bianca! I'm glad to hear you like the layout 😀 When you create a OneNote to share with staff or students where they each have their own private section, you need to go through OneNote online and use the app extensions. For staff its called Staff Notebook. And for students its called Class Notebook.

Hi Bec, I have used the 2021 planner last year and had the online lanner where I could access it from any computer. After downloading this version I can only seem to have it on the laptop that I downloaded? Is there anyway to transfer it online?

Yes the 2021 planner had the awesome Microsoft gurus who helped with the formatting to support it with an immediate download. This time there were licensing issues that couldnt be sorted in time for sharing. If you have it downloaded to the computer you just need to force it to sync to the cloud/onedrive to be able to see it on any device that you log into. If you go to file and share it will prompt you to save/sync it that way. You can even use your own email to prompt it. Once that is done then you should be able to access on any device. Let me know if you have any troubles with it 👍

Looks great. Having an issue opening the file in OneNote though. I don't have a 'create' option. When I click on the downloaded ONEPKG file it wants to know how I want to open the file. And there is not a OneNote option. Do I need to unzip the file first? As I don't have WinZip on this comp

Hi Jamie. As I said in the video u fortunately this won't work on a Mac as the Microsoft engineers weren't able to help with the conversions. I can do it another way for you though if you can't gey access to a PC with the 2016 version to download while signed in. Send me a msg on one of my socials and we can try and walk through it 😀👍

Hi there, I am a Mac user and I'm having some issues with it. I have downloaded both links and tried it, but it keeps coming up with this error message: "The document “2022 Teacher Planner.onepkg” could not be opened. OneNote cannot open files of this type." I remember having this issue last year with the 2021. I remember letting you know and you were able to provide another link to download that was Mac friendly. Hoping you can help me with this as well :)

Hi Amanda 😀 As I mention in the video unfortunately the microsoft engineers havent been able to generate a version for me that allows sharing on alternate platforms. However there is a way around it... if you can borrow a PC or laptop that has the 2016 version of onenote and log into your onenote account, then download the planner from the link I shared. Then open it and sync so that it saves to the cloud. Then you will be able to log in on your mac and locate the planner in your recent files. You will need to click 'more notebooks' or 'other notebooks' and it will be there. It's fiddly unfortunately but its a way around the problem. Let me know if you can't get it to work 👍

I have version 16.45 for Mac but it is not letting me download the oneNote (tried both links), a pop up states that I don't have the app but I do have One note already on this device. Any thoughts? Thanks

Ah yep. As I said in the video this won't work for macs. You'll need to see if you can borrow or use someone elses PC/laptop to log in to OneNote and download the planner. Then open it, make sure you've refreshed or click sync. Then it will be saved in your cloud. Then on your mac you will have the planner in your recent files. You can open it by click 'other notebooks' or 'more notebooks' and the planner will be in your recent files to open on the mac 😃

I have been having trouble downloading this. FOr some reason my computer will not download it as a OneNote. I tried the 2021 again and can still download that correctly. Just wondering if you have any tips?

Hi Catherine. The 2021 had a different type of way of sharing so that will work on any device. The 2022 one needs specifically the 2016 version on a Microsoft device. What device are you using?

I'm having. a few problems with the Google version. I am proficient with Google Drive but this has downloaded with files that are all separate. I have used OneNote before but I am now using a Mac book which seems to make a slight difference. I'm hoping that you can pass on a few tips so that I can bring it all together somehow. Is there another download apart from the Google version? Thanks in advance.

Hi Bec, My school is looking into moving from paper programming to digital programming. I have been looking at you digital program and it looks great. I have downloaded it to my google drive but when I right click or highlight to copy the copy command is not in the dropdown menu. Is there anything I am not doing that I need to do to copy the folders? Thanks

Ah ok. So if right click and copy isnt working you need to highlight what you want to copy then there should be a menu under the 3 dots on the top right corner and an option that says download. Click that and it should give you everything downloaded to your downloads. From there drag the downloaded stuff to a new folder in your own google drive 👍 Let me know if that doesn't work 😁

I have given that a go and when the files are downloaded and I try to open them they are blank documents. It says the downloaded file contains no data.

Hello, I'm trying to download the planner (yes, using the next shool holidays to reorganise into a digital planner...) anyway, when I download and then open the file, the prompt you mentioned to click "create" doesn't come. I get a prompt asking me what app to use to open the file. I have the ON app open, but it's the ON for Windows 10 app, it seems you can no longer download the old ON2016 app. I wonder if you can help me?

At 11:20, you click on something to open up the Accreditation Tab, and it looks like a whole new notebook with new top abs. What are you clicking on??

Its a new section group. It is much like a whole new notebook within the notebook. I made it like that so anyone who doesn't need it can easily delete that section 😊

Sometimes it needs a little nudge (or push! Haha) to sync. If you click file share it will prompt you to save it to your sharepoint/cloud. Do that and then you will have access on all platforms 👍 let me know if it doesn't work

Hello, I have been trying endlessly to download and open the teacher planner, however I am not having any luck. I am using a Mac and have installed the Onenote app. I keep getting a message saying that Onenote cannot open the file. Hey Bec have you been having any problems with OneNote recently? Doesn’t matter if we’re at home or school, web version or desktop, DoE device or personal, stuff doesn’t save or sync, things disappear, old versions of pages open…I’m struggling to keep people using it!

Hi Kim. No I havent had any issues at all and don't know of any in our system. I would definitely contact Andrew Balzer at Microsoft or perhaps EdConnect for some more specific info. Have you computers been reimaged as scheduled?

Hi Julia. Yes as I mention in the video because the Microsoft team haven't been able to help with the shared version it means I can only share using the 2016 version. You should still be able to download the 2016 app and then download the planner using that version (while signed in). Then it will be in your recent files when you switch back to the Windows 10 version. I'll see if I can find the link to download the 2016 version 👍
