Some of the best bowling I've ever seen...The spare shooting if you watched the entire stepladder of Sterner's matches... The strikes, drama... Amazing! Congrats to K.P. He's a great bowler and seems like a wonderful guy. Great job by the Sterner as well!

Congratz to my favorite bowler, Shark Prather. The mild mannered face of Clark Kent, and the cold, remorseless heart of a killer when he's on the line. Damn he's good!

I was there today, Sterner had a hell of a performance across all 4 games. Starting at the #4 seed and losing to only a roll off? It was a great show!!!

When Sterner stepped up in the tenth, I heard Nelson Burton, Jr. say “There’s a possibility of a tie.”

Sterner was prematurely thinking of hoisting that trophy when he stepped up for his 10th frame roll. And in the roll-off, the pressure just got the best of him. Bummers! These clips will make it to the bad breaks hall of fame.

Sterner takes out Belmo and Jones, tough result for him, but he earned a lot of respect today.

Really would've liked to see sterner win but I'm happy for Prather.

I was rooting for Prather but would have been happy with a Sterner win. But, to be fair, Sterner fell apart at the end. Needed just a 9 to win in the 10th and missed the head pin completely. On the fill shot he hit super light and got a lucky carry to tie, and then in the roll off he just jerked it through the nose. Three balls with the title on the line and they were all bad balls. Prather deserved it more.

Poor Sterner. Gotta feel bad for him. He and Tackett seem to have tv jitters. I know EJ won the Roth doubles but every singles event as of late he's been losing on TV. They should give Sterner all the PBR he wants tonite after losing like that.

Was rooting for Kris so pretty happy with this outcome, you do gotta feel for Sterner, he definitely choked that, and he’s done it before on tv as well

@@steveboone1498 even before that, he whiffed the head pin to go to roll off, and he also choked in a PBA playoff recently as well. Definitely has some tv nerves

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pin fall to go from losing to retaining a possible tie with absolutely ZERO reaction from the crowd, players, announcers, or anyone due to mathematical unawareness. Especially in the 10th frame of a championship match for a major.

Can someone please why he needed 8 pins to not lose
@ph03n1xcanada
@ph03n1xcanada 2 жыл бұрын
@@rustyshackleford5443 The way you score a strike is 10(for the current frame) + the amount of pins that you knock down in your next 2 rolls. If he rolled a 7, his 8th frame would've been scored as 196. If he picked up the spare (which he did), his 9th frame would've been a 216, and striking the last part of the 10th would've been his max of 236. 7 loses, 8 ties, 9 possibly wins.

I'll give Randy the benefit of the doubt since he has a history of calling out things like that ("Oh my God, that's a loser!") -- he was probably stunned since Sterner had been averaging 260 so far for the day and missing the pocket that badly was probably as much of a shock to him as it was to everyone else. They were right on it, though, when the pin did fall.
@BowlerScott
@BowlerScott 2 жыл бұрын
@@HawkMothAMA oh absolutely. I think Randy was aware of the stakes as the messenger was rolling toward the 8-pin. I know I was. But I think the silence you hear from everyone else was simply that of pure unawareness. Randy's silence was likely speechlessness spawned by bewilderment.

Why can’t people see it???? Sterner got lucky and “ Choked “!!!!! How did he get there?? By Belmo getting a 9 pin!!!! Also he got very very very very lucky on the split conversion. Then with all that on his side just needs 9 or more and gets 8 ?? In roll over just a bad ball, nerves who knows but PBA has to change that rule!! It sucks!!
