2022 Polaris Ranger XP1000 tire upgrades & test ride

Beautiful soft ride, but the new tires are rubbing! Join me for today's episode as I change out the stock 29" tires on my 2022 Polaris Ranger XP1000 crew sunset red side by side. I purchased these tires recently from the guy that we bought Sharon's 'used' 2022 Polaris Ranger XP1000 Northstar Ultimate from, as he had them lined up to put on his Ranger but hadn't got around to it yet. Join me in the shop and barn today as I swap out the tires, take some test rides, then come back and do a shock adjustment, stiffening up the shocks by 2 notches and then another trail ride. I'll also consider a couple of options for curing the tires rubbing on the fender problem, including adding UTV tire spacers, and/or making a small cutout on the plastic on the inner wheel wells. The tires are barely rubbing, so I think I'm in good shape debating my options. Okay, after careful consideration and looking at it several times I did order a 1.25 in spacer set and I'm going to try that first. Stay tuned to see how that goes! Thank you have a good one and I hope to see you on the next video.

Check with your local dealer. Polaris makes Arched A Arms for front and rear of the machine. Also Bora wheel spacers. But a Dremel can trim those/that rub spot/spots. Be safe

You may need to make adjustments to your clutch with the bigger tires. Enjoy your new machines.

I have a 2020 ranger 1000xp crew north star ultimate, where did you get these tires and would they fit my unit? Would I need to add a lift kit?

I was expecting the tires would rub. On my Defender I installed A arms which were offset 2” forward if it continues to rub you may consider this upgrade. I have a video on the A arm swap. I love the. Rims and tire they look great .

Yeah I am looking at all of my options and weighing them out. A arms, bigger spacers, lift kit.. I'll get it worked out though before too long! Thanks man, maybe we can try a collab ride somewhere in between you and me on the map..?

Heat gun then push back the plastic worked for me

Good idea! A little late now, lol. Just sold them tires I just could not live with that rubbing.

Try adjusting the shocks to raise the front up a little. It may rub on the passenger side when someone is riding on that side.

Yeah I'll be posting an update soon. I jacked the shocks up 2 notches. Don't want to go more than that as I enjoy a nice soft ride. I'll continue to work at it. Tried some spacers the other day too.

Yes I did put all 4 spacers on. I got rid of these tires and went back to stock since I still could not remove the rubbing. Thanks

I keep different lengths of pipe and diameters for cheater pipes as I ain't getting any younger, 67 with heart issues, gotta make life tolerable any way I can. My bull strength I used to have got out of the pasture and disappeared! Lol!

yeah they still do! I am going to swap back the original 29's because the next step would be forward A arms and I don't want to void the warranty. Bummer!

@@kapperoutdoors 2.5” lift and super atv steering stops and you will be fine, that’s whhat mine has with 30” tires. Can’t even notice a difference in steering either,
