2022 Rieju MR 300 Pro - My thoughts on the Rieju!

I was on the fence which 300 to buy. Went with the Rieju 300 Pro and could not be happier. Everything you said about the bike is true. The Technical Touch tuned KYB suspension actually works better than the KYBs on my WR450. I absolutely love everything about this bike. Here in Spain this bike was almost €5000 cheaper than the KTM.

Hi, I'm seriously looking at the Rieju for riding 'Green Lanes' in the UK. My only concern is the pre mix and what the range is on the bike? When we ride we can cover around 70/80 miles and I'm concerned about filling the bike up whilst out and having to call in the local fuel station. Have you had a situation when out where you have needed to re fuel at a local fuel station? Cheers

70/80 miles might be pushing it on stock tank. Anytime I have done long distance and there is fuel stations you can download free apps to your phone to calculate the mix and just carry oil, I use lockable Pepto containers. I mark on them with a sharpie 2oz marks and then I have an add what to add after I pump the fuel. If no fuel stations then carry fuel with you.

@Meekerextreme oh right I wasn't aware of the Apps, I'll definitely have a look at those. The bike itself has fantastic reviews and the price of them can't be beaten. It would be a shame to discount it over the pre mix. Hopefully like you say by using the App and carrying a container of oil I can get around it. Thanks for your reply.

My 2021 was the same issue on the suspension. It came from factory with 4.6 spring and not the 4.2 has the manual said.

How does the Rieju 300 compare to the Beta 300?

I think the Beta is a little less vibration in the bars. Is it enough for me to worry, NO. Also the Rieju has a lot less vibrations then the 2012 GasGas I had. As for power it's hard to tell due to us changing the gearing. I think both are great down low for slow technical sections. The Rieju side mounted starter is old school but it works and easy to get too vs the Beta should something go wrong. The kickstart is nice just to have on a bike so the Rieju wins there. The suspension is stiff from the factory on both but I think the Rieju is stiffer, most people do their suspension unlike myself so it's probably not an issue for most people. Protection bits on both bikes are easy to get especially from P-Tech. Beta probably has been known to be the best when it comes to taking care of customers, then I would say GPX Moto, then Rieju...KTM is too big to care, and Japanese seem like they lost their motivation to innovate on the dirt. Both are well rounded bikes. My next bike will probably be a TM just because I like being unique, then I would say Rieju and then Beta. I have zero interest in KTM and their OTHER rebadged products. Not that they aren't nice bike it's just that they got too big and they keep buying brands and tossing in their same engine so innovation is lost. What made a GasGas a GasGas was lost....same for Husky. I get it people buy into that and that makes me chuckle. Honestly I would love to see Yamaha make a 300 2-stroke enduro bike. We all know they have the know how and they have the money but it's Japan they don't like change.

@@Meekerextreme Thanks, I am interested in both. There are a lot more of the Betas around but there Rieju's are about 1500 less and seem like just as good of a bike.

You made me curious about the rieju, because I'm putting a lot of miles on my bikes, that my job... And your experience with long term reliability of those, made me think of them to replace my dr200, more power, less weight... How are the beta holds up? I don't mind putting a top end every 10k kms... Are you familiar with the, scherco etc...? I hate ktm. As a company, they don't care about the costumer... Thanks a lot...
