2022 Road Glide ST Upgrade - Thrashin EZ Shift Inner Arm Lever Install

I install the Thrashin EZ Shift Inner Arm Lever on my 2022 Road Glide ST. This lever upgrade has been promoted to assist with smoother shifting, less resistance during shift action and assists with finding neutral a lot easier.

Just wanted to post a thanks to you for posting this install/review! It definitely led me to try this shift lever on my 2021 Triglide because I could never hit neutral. Both of my feet are 80% paralyzed so I have very little muscle control in them. I had a Pingel electric shifter put on a couple of years ago and that has made all the difference in the world making it possible to enjoy riding again. But I was still very frustrated having to shut the bike down and reach down with my hand everytime to put the bike in neutral so that I could use reverse. I don't hit neutral everytime like you do but hitting it 75% of the time is a far cry better than 0% of the time that it was before. So thank you!

The shift linkage is a turnbuckle, all you have to do is loosen the jam nuts and you can just spin the center to make it longer or shorter, no need to disconnect one end. Great vid thanks

Hi WelderMike, thanks for the comments. Absolutely, in some cases though, you do have to remove it if you need to offset the turnbuckle on one side for a couple extra threads depending on how it lands with the distance for each side. Appreciate the comments, ride safe.

I just installed this along with the linkage and black shifter levers on my bike today. 2017 Street Glide Special, also have the Thrashin adjustable brake pedal and shifter pegs. Next thing are the Thrashin floorboards.

I struggled to get the EZ shift lever to match up with the spline. You make it look easy as you just slid it through to mate up. Any trick?

Thanks for the question. As I was prepping for the video, I just did some test fitting to be sure it lined up right and knew where I wanted it before hand. I have installed a few of these and did not have any issues getting it to slide on and bite, just got to tinker with it a bit and use both hands and you align it. If that does not work, contact Thrashin, they have a good support team, maybe you need an exchange. Good luck and ride safe.

The washer is for 16 and earlier models, which has the rod on the non engine side. Good video... :-)

It's really soft aluminum. The threads on mine stripped out the first time I removed it. I would not buy it for $140.00. Maybe $65.

Will this lever work for heritage softail? The same forward controls and footboards like the baggers, so i dont see why not.

Thanks for the question. I know Thrashin designed this product off of direct measurements on modern touring models so not sure it would be the same usage. But, you could reach out to them on their site and inquire. Appreciate the comments, ride safe.

I like how you need to get it "just right".. I'm like that too. I used lots of the same upgrades too. I used Soft Brake tho. I'm stock floor boards but I love that extended brake lever. 👌👌👌👍 Stuart

Thanks Stuart, I really like the Thrashin boards, I still scrape them, ;-), I feel much more connected to the bike and the larger area gives me great area to adjust my feet as needed at times! And yes, my OCD can get the best of me at times! lol, but love getting it just right!

@@justkillnbugz My boards are very large too. I was thinking about the Kahuna collection but talked myself out of it. I like whatever came on the 19cvo mako. I really do enjoy your videos. Hey. @@stuartberke5845 Thanks brother, I saw that being installed on a special, looks very cool. (mine would be red of course 🙂, I just plugged in a USB dual charger and tightened it up after I removed the useless cover... I may do one, thought about it, but with my cams and the charging needs, might not be practical just yet. Let us know your thoughts when you get it in!

Why would your cam effect anything? Doesn't use any battery. Most of time you would use it with the motor running.
