Not that I particularly want a Seat, but I do wish that the likes of Seat, Škoda, Dacia etc. were available in the Japan market also. However, here in Japan, the general school of thought is that non-Japanese cars are 'luxury' vehicles so the average European runabout and unfamiliar names would really struggle here. Indeed, even Ford had to withdraw from the market as the Ford brand simply didn't carry enough of a luxury vehicle brand status. That means that our choice of vehicles, especially good tow cars is limited and Japanese cars in the domestic market are not set-up as towcars to the level of UK and European standards. Even though they may offer a towbar, which is usually a clunky, ugly and very poorly designed US style towbar. Fortunately, Jaguar Land Rover Japan do offer proper European style towbars with most of the safety technology, but not Land Rover's exemplary reversing aid tools due to archaic and stilly Japanese laws. Also, educating the Land Rover salesperson about the towbars is also necessary and Land Rover really need to offer proper training as finding a salesperson that actually understands is a challenge.
