I whole heartedly agree with what you said. All brands make good equiment anymore. Its on the operator if they do a bad job harvesting. All farmers need to hear that from you, a guy who deals in equiment.

That really is a superb clip from the colours to the sound of that Cat engine. it's just about the machinery and as you state it's the setup that makes it right. Don't be afraid to say it how you see it. I'd be interested to see how much of the crop is actually harvested and how much goes through onto the ground. When fields are left there always seems to be a lot of self sown plants that weren't collected. Love from the UK

We have a very accurate scale on our grain cart. Our first truck load off each field is weighed & moisture tested and that info is sent back to both the grain cart driver but also the combine driver. I think it is a great practice if you can do it.

Nice video and equipment Mike. Do you know how many bushel an acre they were getting on those beans? Loked like a healthy crop.

Dose the arm on the side of combine come out automatically or do you have to set it to come out to drop grain in cart❤

Great video mike thank you I noticed that they were loading the trucks tarp side right on the edge of the field do you know if that may have been to keep the truck compaction as minor as possible
@farmhandmike2 жыл бұрын
Just loading the trucks the way that is most convenient. The was I see it here is the trucks were pointed towards the road and this is where they opened the field up. Ive had other people comment on some of my past videos when I loaded on the tarp side and I really don't understand why as I don't really see a difference especially on the newer carts with a long auger. Back when running a J&M 750 cart with a shorter auger loading on the tarp side was a little harder.

Hi Mike, The engine is a M A N D2676, D means diesel, 26 stands for a bore of 126 mm, 7 means a stroke of 170 mm, and the last digit is a 6 for a sixcylinder engine, which gives a swept volume of 12.4 l.

There are automotive fluids (engine oil, transmission fluid and even bearing grease) you can put in your daily driver that are made from soybeans. I know because I put such fluids in my previous car.

We had that combine and promptly got rid of it due to it’s disappointing performance.
@damonens94782 жыл бұрын
You won't find a better combine for a clean grain sample . Just having all that cleaning area and the aps cylinder instead of a rotor just cleans everything so nice

There is no combine that will thresh beans like a deere sts rotary. Period. End of story. Claas guys are switching back to deere in our area
@farmhandmike2 жыл бұрын
I know Deere makes a great combine but I don't see where they are above and beyond, period, end of story better. I know Deere guys that went to Lexion as well.
@aidencrawford3487 Жыл бұрын
@farmhandmike We've got both. It's been the way for years. A John Deere will cut more beans than a Claas 99.9% of the time. Dad bought a Deere 9650 brand new. We think it was actually a bullet rotor prototype (it's a long story) but that combine, with a 35 foot head would cut beans at 4-5 mph with dew paddling off the reel. We've had 4 lexions over the years, and they are always out cut by a Deere in beans. Corn on the other hand, a completely different story.

Eating dinner in my 2022 X9 1100 Will be a 900 acre day with 3 X9 1100 harvesting today. 4500 of 8000 corn acres harvested so far. Averaging 275 bu/acre this year on Corn
