The refs tried so hard to give this series to Pittsburgh. That disallowed goal was 100% the nhl pressing the "F*ck the Rangers" button (again)

The refs didn’t make the Rangers give up 14 goals combined in games 3 and 4, and don’t forget that Lafreniere ripped off a Penguins player’s helmet intentionally in the final minutes of game 7 so he had to leave the ice and the Rangers ended up tying the game on what should have been a penalty on Lafreniere

@@macattack3668 Guentzel goal was over the bar.. pens that year went like 13-0 in coach challenges and got every calls.. rangers were a heavy powerplay team and other than game 6 i think they had almost 0 powerplays despite the pens being dirty.. Refs always favored the pens since they need to win and be relevant to not go bankrupt. Sad franchise that also needs their loud ass horn since they don't have enough real fans in the crowd

@@Pierre-ld5oj Guentzel’s stick was even with the cross bar, even video review supported that which is why the goal stood. The Pens didn’t play dirty, the Rangers are the ones who cheap shotted Crosby early in game 5, Lafreniere ripped off a Pens player’s helmet so he had to leave the ice in the final regulation minutes of game 7, and then they got a power play in overtime for them to win the game on. Maybe the Rangers should’ve scored more even strength goals against the third string goalie they played against the entire series instead of whining about not getting power plays
