I bought one with every option available in the Geyser Blue. This vehicle has been the most satisfying vehicle purchase I’ve ever made. I have no disappointments and it has exceeded my expectations which has never happened before with buying a car or truck. My GMC Sierra had been close but not like the Subaru. I liked Honda but Subaru has really been much better satisfying. Plus the one I bought was actually made in Japan which I really like that I bought Japanese car actually made in Japan. Don’t think anybody would regret buying one of these

@Primus542 жыл бұрын
@@joebuck4496 The head gasket issue has long been in the rear view mirror. Not that many years ago, Toyota had a very popular engine in hundreds of thousands of vehicles that burned oil at low mileage, yet Toyota is still the leader in perceived quality. Every manufacturer hits a bump in the road now and then.

Thanks Sarah. I have a 2021 Gump Sports model. It is lifted and has all terrain Goodrich tires so it is very off-road capable. In a way, I kind of wish I'd waited a year for the Wilderness Edition for those added features but on the other hand I'm completely happy with the way my Gump is set up and how it handles in dirt, mud and snow. It's really amazing. I've taken it out on some pretty rogh excursions and so far it's never let me down. Plus it's my commuter vehicle to work every day and it does get decent gas mileage. I like the sunroof on the Sport which I didn't see on the Wilderness which is really nice on summer days when you want to ditch the A/C and feel the outside air. But ask you said, the Wilderness is definitely a fun and capable Subaru for those of us who like to drive off the pavement from time to time.

Why is my car in your garage lol. Traded in my 2020 Premium last week and bought a Wilderness. Took it off roading the next day. Definitely better off road, plowed through deep sand no problem, over the whoops without scraping. It still feels somewhat underpowered, but for a newer SUV type vehicle, it's not bad. Love your vids, and I think your assessment of the Forester Wilderness is spot-on. For a bit of techie info: The Wilderness CVT has a 1st ratio of 4.07 compared to 3.60 on the other trims. Final drive is 4.11 compared to 3.70. Combined, that's slightly more than 1.25 times available wheel torque in 1st gear. They also changed reverse to 4.38 compared to 3.69, even lower than first gear... hmmm wonder how climbing in reverse would go.

I just put some geolanders on my parents Ascent. They made a huge difference on the off-road capabilities. I was looking at going with a smaller rim for a fatter sidewall but Subaru has a large offset that is hard to find and you have to be careful of the brakes clipping the rim. Overall I still like Subaru.

@717dash_cam2 жыл бұрын
Doubting that, unfortunately... more power, possibly with electric assistance... turbo it's possible... but not likely to be what you would think, if it sees a Turbo, it'll likely be a smaller displacement already in other countries, not our 2.4. The WRX is supposed to be Subarus last ICE only vehicle. Moving to Subaruized, Toyota Hybrid tech eventually leading to full EV.

I found your channel back when I was researching vehicles myself. I ended up with a very clean 2015 Forester XT, which now has 133k+ miles on it. To be honest I won't be buying another Subaru do to my experience. I have had the induction cleaning performed and my check engine light comes on between every 10-15k miles and the codes are always the O2 and Fuel/Air sensors. Because of the cost of replacing them that often ($300+ each), I pull and clean them which actually last just as long as new ones. My biggest complaint, I had to replace the CVT transmission because the front differential went out. It part of the whole transmission assembly and it wasn't cheap.....$8k ! I was at 115k miles, 15k past the powertrain warranty
