I just got the 22' XP3 in October of '21. I ordered it in May and it got here just in time to take out once before the weather got cold. Its a beautiful boat and I can't wait for summer to get out again.

Would like to know your top GPS speed with that Tri toon version. What motor do you get with yours? And does yours have the lifting strakes welded to the pontoon tubes? Mine is the 22ft 2 tube pontoon, no lifting strakes, with 150hp and it consistently maintains 33mph on GPS with 4 people, full tank, and gear, with binini top deployed.

@saltysteel3996 I live in the Rocky Mountains and boat at lakes that are between 5000 and 9000’ elevation. I have a gps on the boat and have hit 30 mph for my highest speed. I have lifting strakes and the 150 hp Suzuki. I know you lose a lot of hp at elevation so I’m pretty happy with that output.

My wife and i looked at both the 22' and 24' DLX. In my humble opinion, the 24'DLX is the way to go. It's a tritoon that can handle up to a 250hp merc. The changing room is located at the back of the boat. And when not in use acts as a rear lounge. instead of dropping from the Bimini in the middle of the boat.

Yeah the Tritoons allow quite a bit of extra hp if you want it, and the extra two feet may not seem like a lot, but it’s pretty amazing how much it adds to the space on the boat. Thanks for watching!

Got the same boat with the 150hp Mercury. Does 33mph on GPS. SS prop, under skinning kit, ski tower, powered bimini top, GPS trolling motor with QD plate is 12v 55lb thrust and holds Spot Lock in current and wind just fine, nice trailer, rides super smooth. Edit: Mine has a 38 gallon tank. Only complaint is the little speakers in the bimini top are useless. I gutted them out and installed 8in Kicker ski tower pod speakers on my ski tower with a 360 swivel mount and they're loud! Also installed the Bluetooth module on the Mercury engine so you can monitor all engine specs while cruising down the river, much more info than what you get with just the gauges.

We fish saltwater marsh and go to some close rigs in the gulf in bay boat no issues but I want to get the fishin barge up to the task.

I have this boat but a few years old. I like the layout but the hp capacity has to be off. Has a sticker for 90hp max. It has a 70 on it now. It is crazy slow. I want to put a 150 minimum on it. What changed to allow higher HP?

I bought one yesterday and the dealership owner said they went to wood due to rattling and lots of welds breaking. They were too rigid was the reason he gave me.

Is that ski tow bar installed backwards? shouldn't the thinner tube be in the back?

Thanks for the comment. The outermost tube is the thickest tube in the structure. The thinner tube is in the back of the thicker tube. Both are mounted to an additional piece that goes under the deck. Perhaps if you could give a time stamp for exactly what your seeing, that would be helpful. Thanks for watching!

In general pontoon aluminum is susceptible to saltwater corrosion and there are many other considerations such as decking and motor. Also be sure to ask if the warranty stands or is voided if you use it in saltwater. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

Trailer is an additional purchase as many folks just have the pontoon delivered to their lake. However if you need a trailer they range in cost from $3k to $8k depending on the size needed. There are several places to store it. I store mine (with arm) in the STOW MORE compartment behind the main bench seat. Fits well in there and is close to where it might be used.
