The telluride is good for a family of 4 that use the 3rd row as needed and needs awd for security during winter.. The carnival for a young family with 2 or 3 kids with a dog and using the 3rd row in a daily basis..

@@julieholmly theres a recall on a combined 300,000 telluride and palisades. They can possibly start on fire because of a tow hitch shorting out, so they recommend parking it outside until it gets fixed.

We still have orders from November 21 not yet filled - having said that, it depends on model and if you're willing to accept 3 colour choices. We are getting way more Carnival this year. I would suggest for 23 it's 10 to 12 months, but I'm optimistic that it will be shorter. Just my 2 cents!

I am also trying to decide between a telluride and the carnival. Family of 6 (oldest is 8 yo) and as much as I love the telluride, they seem small in person.

I think the carnival is the right choice for you no questions

Carnival for sure unless you need AWD then I would look for a larger SUV that can handle the snow better. If you don't have snow, then the Carnival makes more sense (it is much much bigger in person)
