Why all the complaints about the cvt. Its a city car. Supposed to be for leisurely driving around town for shopping etc. Thanks for the drive.

So is it a proper conventional CVT now? I steered clear of the last model when I realised the only auto version was an automated manual which I have had experience of before and hated it.

Yes. Conventional CVT no hybrid.

Drove one recently and I have to say that I have never seen worst automatic gearbox ever. Revving on highest rpm with slowest acceleration.

It’s a 3 cilinder car with a 1 liter engine. The 5 speed manual accelerates even slower. It’s a car made for in and around the city.

It does an okay job, but I prefer the manual transmission. It’s cheaper and makes less noise.

Why has Toyota persisted with using this ageing engine ? Its basically the same one they have had in the Aygo for nearly a decade.

I’m actuall happy that there isn’t an e-version. They should focus on e-fuel hybrids, with small engines with sportier sound imo, like 270 degree twins, t-plane triples and crossplane inline 4s. This is the real future for all cars, as people won’t just throw away their old ones (thankfully for the environment), and can run all existing cars with e-fuel. Even nice Lexus V8s! 👍

Do not compare Toyota ever with Kia 🤣 Toyota is league's ahead in the engineering and specs ! I have had 3 brand new Aygos all have been perfect little cars, best small car on the road !! I am changing now to CHR only because I now have Grandchildren ! I guess everything is "overpriced " though if you can't afford it 🤷

Vous tenez très mal votre volant . La première chose que j’ai apprise il y a plus de 30 ans....croiser les bras sur le volant est excrément dangereux , vous perdez tout contrôle en cas de problème

@@Natif1485 je le donne pour ceux qui ferait l’erreur de l acheter...un conseil essayer la longuement au moins 1 h sur route et autoroute ....çela m’a permis d’éviter de dépenser 23000 euros ....à ce prix je conseille une Polo , une ibiza , ou clio plutôt que cette voiture bruyante et sous motorisée

Tous les modèles sont touchés par les pannes ...dans toutes les marques ....malheureusement...du fait de la complexité technique , on est loin des 4 L avec un moteur un carbu et un radiateur ....

@@Natif1485 je voulais l’acquérir et le l’ai testé . Épouvantable , limite dangereuse pour s’insérer sur autoroute , le prix est trop élevé au regard du manque de polyvalence . On peut utiliser les palettes pour faire baisser le régime ...mais les accélérations sont très très très longues. Agrément très nettement inférieur ..à celui dune twingo EDC sortie en 2015 ...et qui était vendue 15000 euros ....bref on régresse !
