When I think of an OG 4Runner I think of my dad’s 1984 4Runner lol. I just picked up my 2024 Tundra Limited. It’s in Magnetic Gray with the Nightshade package. It’s nearly identical to this. I now have something to work towards - this looks fantastic.

@@Adrenaline89Junky Raptor has both V6 & V8 options.... Tundra does not. The V8 5.2L is a 700HP supercharged monster.

@@jayb7796the odds of people having the raptor R is so low. They should’ve just made the 3rd gen with a v8 just like the 1st ones but generally speaking the “primary” raptor I guess you could say is also a twin turbo v6 also 3.5L

Glad he's happy with his truck, but man... I must be getting old, I bet this dude drives on pavement 99% of the time but runs MTs. I drive a stock 80 series LC personally, and it does everything I need. Maybe my Boomer brain is showing.

It’s just people’s preference…rather err on the side of capable and if you love the look then all the better if it makes ya happy. Kind of like all the people with sports cars that go 200 mph and don’t take them to a track. They still look cool and they love the car.

I mean I don’t live out in the boonies and this is my daily driver lol so yeah it’s gonna be on the pavement, but when we’re off the pavement I’d like the best most robust tires to rip it out there. For the style of off roading I do we’re pushing 80-90mph in the dirt

Lol I don’t have a tundra (yet) but I would’ve never run anything but the toyo open country MTs… a little hum when driving but they are great in the rain and snow and the off-road performance is phenomenal. Even if you don’t hit dirt often, I’d still recommend them.
