Truly appreciate the tool suggestion! Saved a whole mess of time & gas draining steps. A genuinely excellent tip. Thnx!

Thanks for the video, very informative. If it wasn't for your video and suggesting using the flex head wrenches or crowfoot I would have not been able to do this install. I was very careful to make sure the bars were installed behind the lower engine mounts . The Triumph bars look great I was debating to install R and G sliders but I think the bars offer much more protection and they aren't to large where they would stick out like rabbit ears. The torcs are installed firmely by the factor so you do need a good ratchet set to remove them and a torc wrench to install at 105 NM.Thanks again

Great tool suggestions. Thanks for doing this video. On my T120 Black I could get the flex head ratchet wrench in under the tank but didn't have enough "flex distance" to bend the head on the bolt -- even when working the head from the opposite side with a screwdriver. However, the crowfoot wrench worked from the front. Takes a bunch of fiddling but it works and much better than having to take the tank off (even partially). On the bottom mounts I had a normal spanner wrench that fit in the space to hold the lock nut. Thanks again for the video.

I just had exactly the same problem of not being able to get a tool inside there to hold the nut. I figured I'm gonna need a swivel thingy but thanks for the confirmation 😄👍🏻 Nice install

I have not installed my Motech crash bars yet, but it looks like you might be able to remove the 2 tank bolts and slide the tank back a couple inches without complete removal. It adds a couple steps but might actually be easier just to un bolt the tank.

You might be right… it I didn’t play with it at the time since I already had all the tools to angle myself into the bolts without fooling with the tank. But without those tools, it might be worth trying your method first.

Please refer item 6 on page 4 of installation instructions it clearly shows that the bottom bracket of Engine Dresser bar has to be fitted inside not outside. I’ve fitted mine today as per installation guide provided by Triumph.

You’re correct! I didn’t pay attention enough when mounting it. Darn it. Probably means I need to buy new locknuts as well…
@jiten65022 жыл бұрын
Doesn’t matter you can use LOCTITE 242 Thread Locker with same locknuts.

According to my observation bottom part of the Engine Dresser bar fitted is wrong. Please check installation instructions, it clearly mentions that the lower part of it should be fitted from inside of Engine mount. That’s why in final view of Engine Dresser bar shows them inclined.

I rather just bring it to the dealer to do it. No need to buy tools for 1 time job

not a good look. Looks like a training school bike. Plus you already got the engine cover protectors on so live a little.
