The Elfin from Xgimi is also pixelshifted but since it is a larger DMD and higher than 540p originally it shows almost the same as 1080p res. I'm only mentioning this as you say in the video you prefer the 1080p from the Mogo Pro than the 720p on the competing projector but in reality the 720p may be better (the 720p H8 from wowoto I tried with the Mogo Pro once seemed sharper to me than the Mogo Pro and also had a far more vibrant image).@@TheHookUp

I use XGIMI Halo+ at home and I'm very happy with it. We don't have tv and it's on all day long. Good thing is you don't have to place it to the middle of th room! It's staying in a corner and it can adjust the view.

This projector gets the job done pretty well. kzbin.infoUgkxS9P8zTOcmQg-hH0QeUi3dspOLyYgQ6dH Bear in mind it's a mini projector but all things considered the picture quality is pretty good. The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.

I really wish the throw distance/range were included in this review. How short of a throw and still focused and how far and still within ANSI tolerance. But this is an awesome resource for deciding which projector to purchase for casting monochrome microscopy images for taking very accurate measurements :)

This was an outstanding review. Thank you! I purchased the Capsule 3 and had several issues after receiving a system update. More lagginess and a number of problems with switching between inputs, as in it would randomly change on its own. Strange. Have now purchased the Halo+ Great work!

Projection distance would have been an interesting metric to note. I'm contemplating buying a projector that we could also use outside for movie nights during the summer and we'll need a longer range. But even though mobile would feels like it should fit this scenario I suspect a lot of them aren't powerful enough for much more than a few meters. But, the quality of work in the rest of the comparisons was really helpful and I thank you for the clear and comprehensive comparisons for so many core metrics. With all the bad reviews on the Samsung Freestyle, I avoided it and instead bought a cheap $250 projector. After finding out that you had to download some shady app to get Airplay, I returned it, plus dust was already getting on the inside of the lens (how?). Got the Freestyle for slightly under $500, wow, it's really great, no regrets, Airplay out of the box along with the official Netflix. Serves as a competent speaker too. $500 is a great price point for it. I actually run it in standard mode taking up only 28watts of energy and have it run all day long, luv it!

@@TheHookUp Even at $500 I don't think it has any competition. If you primarily use it as an HDMI projector, then the video and audio performance takes center stage. But for me, and I think think most people who buy a transportable projector, connectivity features are equally as important. Having all the legit major apps included + being able to Chromecast to it + Apple play from not only ios devices but from any Mac + any Windows computer without having to install anything extra is phenomenal.

To me it seems like the Nebula Capsule 3 is the overall most balanced one. Compact, good picture quality, good sound, good performance and app support, well brightness, ok battery life + type C. If only the price was a bit lower

I just returned the Samsung freestyle! Could barely watch it in anything but total darkness the fact they priced that initially at 1,000 is one of the more insane pricing decisions I’ve ever seen! So so disappointed! It is NOT. A tv replacement and for north of 600 I’d expect it to be, much less 1,000. Got a 200 Wimius and it’s brilliant! Cheers for this though your vids are great

Definitely not a TV replacement. More a substitute for when a TV is impractical. Like I said, I think their sweet spot is around $600 for projector + battery.

Yeah sadly I’m in the uk and can’t get anywhere near that it’s about £500 consistently and the battery is an extra £150+ that’s almost 800 dollars 😭 I suspect in the new year they’ll make a Samsung freestyle 2 I just hope they don’t go back to their utterly delusional 1,000 price point and if it’s much brighter and less laggy il be happy! When measuring contrast, please use a checkered pattern instead of an all black (where brands can juice up the contrast by software gimmick)

On some of the projectors you can tell when the "all black screen magic" happens and the light source turns all the way off. In those cases I bring up the plex play status bar which forces the light source back on.

My go-to channel for reviews! Clearly not just relying on the the advertised product specs but really doing his own tests to compare products. I know the price is fluctuating but it would’ve helped if there’s a comparison as to the cost at the time of review. Maybe to draw some conclusions whether one is paying for better performance or just the brand’s premium. Overall, this had been very helpful 💯

Greetings from Portugal...I have been a big fan of the LG PF50KS so much that I gave it to my step-son at half life and bought another one for myself...I use the unit behind my headboard on a bookself that projects onto an 100 inch fixed screen on the wall...Absolutely fantastic home cinema...Combined with the LG dolby Atmos soundbar...Tough package to beat under a €1,000 euros...At night I use Audio Techinca headphones via bluetooth which works really well via LG...everything is plugged into an mini pc with ryzen 5 and vega graphics which makes the images pop! Waiting for prices to come down on LG 4k led projector...Overall satisfied with LG quality...😉🇵🇹📽👏👌🎧

I saw that you did not like the Samsung freestyle model in one of your videos, but it got a good score in the collective projector comparison (it is in the top 3). My expectations from the projector are as follows ( 1. If possible, it should be self-powered or rechargeable with powebank for use in camps. 2. I want the image quality to be really satisfactory. 3.
