A local guy is parting his VB out and I can't wait to swap my OEM hood for his CF hood in a few hours. I couldn't figure out how to remove the ball joint on the support rod. Thanks to this video!

The carbon hood is heavier than the stock. I bought a carbon fiber hood scoop. It looks good.

It will probably be more dent resistant however. The thin aluminum of the oem hood won’t stand up well to rocks and general shit-happens

Is there an option without the mesh in the hood scoop? The mesh looks awful with all the waves in it. I thought it was just the blue one but the orange vb hood also has the same issues. Other than that the hoods look amazing!

Seibon requires hood pins. Personally I have been running without one for years.

What is the weight difference between the stock hood and this hood?

The difference is pretty marginal. Stock hoods are light from the beginning - didn't get a measure but should be less than 5lb difference.
