Nice review. I just took delivery of my R-Type Extended Range in white. Love it! Mine has the air suspension and that makes the ride more comfortable but still sporty.

The interior is why I placed an order for the '22 XC60 Inscription. There's really nothing that competes with the quality and comfort at this size outside of a loaded Macan.

I owned a 2020 Macan S loaded. The seats were killing my back. Tried everything to resolve that to no avail. Worst seats in the business, for me at least. Great seats in the Volvo.

As a long-time Macan owner, I can say that the 14-way seats are absolutely fabulous, and on a par with Volvo's. And you don't have to "load up" the Macan to get spectacular comfort and quality (I did not -- standard seats; no air suspension; all-metal roof; smallest wheels = 18-inch; etc.).

I have this vehicle; it actually takes 14-15 hours to charge from 0 to 100% at 120 volts, not the 6-8 hours that you state (4:45) ... As for the charging cable (6:58), it is around 20 feet in length -- I think I heard somebody say 24 feet long (it's well longer than the 15-foot length of the car itself, and I use most of its length to plug in from the outlet I want in my garage).

@@MattTheCarguy Other XC60 T8 ER owners say the same thing on the Volvo online forums. It's fact, and it's standard. Our RAV4 Prime, with similar battery pack size, takes a full 12 hours to fully charge at 120 volts (also confirmed by many other RAV4 Prime owners and in Toyota literature). As both the Volvo and Toyota PHEVs have the same onboard charging amp speed, Toyota has engineered a faster way to charge their batteries by about 25%, vs. Volvo, for unknown reasons. My Porsche PHEV with a smaller 14-kWh battery pack also charges from 0 to 100% in about 12 hours (also confirmed by Porsche literature and Porsche PHEV owners), so Porsche is more in line with Volvo in terms of charging speeds (as a function of kWh).

So how much juice does it cost you to charge it on a 110v outlet…?

It depends on the cost of KWh. The battery has a total 18.8 KWh capacity so if you know what your electric company charges you per KWh you can do the math. It varies per region and time of day. In my area to fully chargevit would cost an average of 90 cents

Volvo requires premium (91 octane or higher) for all T5, T6 and T8 engines.

I have a Polestar version of the very same vehicle. People don't mention in reviews how unreliable the infotainment system is. I had to reset the infotainment system again and again for different reasons> AC malfunctioning, GPS signal lost etc. There are some big safety concerns with this new google system as well. For any reason, they decided to move the control of drive mode or activation of steering assist to the main screen, buried in the menu layers! Imagine that while driving, you want to change from hybrid to pure electric mode, you need to take your eyes off the road and look for that option deep in the menu, while you are driving! The same is if you want to activate steering assist!

I was wondering why the drive modes are hidden. It makes no sense whatsoever! Many manufacturers are having issues with their infotainments malfunctioning. Sadly we became so dependent on the convenience and safety features ( thats why they are there!) that it is hard to go back. I recently had a situation where my infotainment malfunctioned on my Honda Pilot and completely shut off leaving me with no back up camera, parking sensors etc. Now I started driving in 80's without any of that but gotten so used to and dependent on it that backing up was a challenge. Thanks for that info!

@@MattTheCarguy I agree that we are dependent on the infotainment systems, a lot. But, there is a big difference here; how old is your Honda Pilot and how expensive is it? We are talking about a Volvo XC60, a brand new car, out of dealer that could cost arund 90K and has a malfunctioning operational system, reported by so many owners! Do you see my point?

@@medi288 my Pilot is about 50K brand new, but I dont think that has anything to do with the fact that infotainment system is faulty. I believe it should be reliable in 15K and 200K vehicle. Features may be different but the core should be solid.

@@MattTheCarguy I can't agree more with you that it should be reliable on all levels and costs, but it's not! So, as a manufacturer, what should you do? Try to fix it! They see these problems and they could fix via over-the-air updates but so far I haven for seen any improvement except for Apple car play. What bothers me the most is the unnecessary move of steering assist control from the steering wheel to the deepest sections of main menu!

@@MattTheCarguy Yeah, I talked to the local dealer. It is apparently a licensing issue with Apple. Apparently Polestar has been promising CarPlay for years, but hasn't delivered. I'm not holding my breath. Its OK with me, I guess, so long as I can get Wayz under the Google software.

That is correct.... it is about 4.1 s vs 4.5 but its not a plug in hybrid
