Great video Mike, watching here in England it really wet's the appetite for our harvest to start (approx 3/4 weeks away but not on the same scale), really enjoyed that shame it wasn't longer but that is really some set up, wish I was salesman when they come into the dealership to order the new seasons equipment. Stay safe and well.

I think it is lucky we don't have a beast like that tractor as I think I'd be taking out gateways and building though those tyres certainly fit well with the tractor and I dare say helped with the wet conditions earlier on

great drone footage mate....we see all angles of cutting and unloading....but what i would like to see is to watch that grain tank go from dead full to dead empty in its entirety.....seems no one has managed to cover that little detail as yet!!!.....cheers from Queensland Australia!!!

Hello Mike. I love your videos, thank you for taking the time to make them. I am curious. You mentioned that the grain cart holds 1300 bushels. How does that work out considering that is a lot more than a semi can legally haul? Do they just not fill the grain cart full most of the time or empty into more than one truck?

I know that country up there real well. I’m almost certain that’s east of Alva, and on the south side of 64. If you go a ways further east before the Cherokee cutoff there used to be a really good bbq place. They had excellent calf fries 😁 Yep, towards the end of the video I saw the tree line, and the white tank battery with the two blue rings. That’s a Chesapeake well. I built the pad and lease road to that well.
@farmhandmike2 жыл бұрын
This was north of Alva and just a few miles south of the Kansas state line. Are you talking about the BBQ place in Ingersoll I think it is? Ive ate there a few times over the years.
@peteparker73962 жыл бұрын
@@farmhandmike that’s it! I haven’t been there in years. There used to be a cattle trailer washout next to it. There’s also a good Mexican food place on the east side of town north side of 64. I’ve got some good friends that farm west and north of Alva. I spent years up there chasin rigs. When it gets wet up there it’s a mud hole. Not fun in the winter either.

How does Walter Farms transport their equipment from Canada to their starting point and then back up as they harvest through the Midwest?
@farmhandmike2 жыл бұрын
They have a video somewhere on KZbin showing the equipment being hauled down the road.

With semis that pull trailers...they most likely have to double back a second time too. Harvesting is very redundant.
